Princess Christine - whatta LOSER!
WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!!!! ....I'm still jumpin' off the walls here complete with the goosebumps.
I just spoke to Christine's momma and our lil Princess is officially out of surgery and doing well. They don't have her in her in a room yet so mom has not had a chance to visit with her. She also has no direct phone number to share with us yet (just the cell), but promised to pass on our well wishes and hugs. She'll be staying at the hospital with Christine, over night.
The doctor said the surgery was text book perfect, absolutely NO complications and they were able to do it Lap vs Open, so her release time and recovery time should be much faster!!!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic week with some great weekend plans to look forward too. My brother and nephews are in town for a few more days and I think we're going to try dragging them to the "BlackBeard Festival" on the waterside. Havent a clue if it's any good or not (ANYONE OUT THERE EVER BEEN?) ...but surely pirates and cannonballs are geared for kiddies (his are 2 and 5) and of course us BIG kids too.
Speaking of company - I'm in charge of "entertainment" so I better get off the computer and go in search of them.

That's great news Leilani, thanks for the update. I knew the Princess was in the best hands possible with her surgical group. But it is nice to know she's out of surgery and on her way.
If the Blackbeard Festival doesn't pan out, or you need another suggestion, I think the American Indian Festival is going on this weekend at Chesapeake City Park. You will remember it from last year, you and Wendy and I went after stuffing our gullets at the Swan Terrace buffet. The boys might get a kick out of watching the dancers and you can always get in some quality shopping LOL.

Hey Lei,
Always wonderful news when someone gets a good report like that. I like that term "textbook perfect." She is such a dear soul and deserves only the best. If you see her or talk to her, be sure and tell her that she has been in my prayers and thoughts all day.
I have to tell you Lei, you just about cracked me up with the advice to Christine about putting a post it note on her stomach.........now that was a hoot!!! You are just too much and I sure hope I will have the opportunity to meet you soon. Your warmth, your humor and most of all your love for each of us out here means the world to me.
I was a little late with the birthday wish, but I sure hope you had a fantastic BD and all your wishes come true. Looks as though some already have. You always seem so upbeat and happy. Maybe that's just a front but I don't think so. I believe you are a woman who has a new lease on life and you are living life with gusto. I would only hope that could follow in yours & Natalie's footsteps. Stay close by........and don't you dare take a vacation from this board. People like me need you!!! One day soon, maybe we will get the chance to talk on the phone. That would be GREAT!!!
Okay, enough sucking up...... Back to our Princess. I send her all my love and best wishes but most of all my prayers for a super speedy recovery.

Hello there, beautiful bird...uh, I mean beautiful Lady.....what's up with your hair these days? I am soo happy to hear that our Princess is doing well. I knew she would. Please if you see her or talk to her, tell her that I am sending her a gently hug...She is in my thoughts and prayers and tell her she is a loser...and I love her. Love you too by the way...You have a wonderful weekend as I know you will....can't wait to see you again!
