FOR CHRISTINE!

For Christina my advice is this. In the beginning because we have to do things so different (liquid diet, pureed foods, schedules, measuring, etc.) and to me it was really overwhelming how abnormal & different I felt from everyone around me. I was miserable that I was so odd and everything had to be planned/adjusted for me. I finally broke down and spoke to my stepmom (who has had surgery) and asked her about it. I didn't understand why no one has ever mentioned this feeling. She thought about it and her response was that yes she flet it, but after you prgress to regular foods and your schedule becomes natural to you, and the weight starts coming off and you feel better and you just forget those feelings from the first few months beause they are no longer significant. Be prepared to be frustrated and feeling abnormal. But remember that it becomes a part of your life and the rewards are worth it and the you are not alone. The are a bunch of us "Tiny Pouch People" waiting here for you if you need us and we are just like you. Courtney

Hey Cheryl, I don't have any advice since I haven't had my surgery yet but I still wanted to post just to tell the Princess that she is the neatest & sweetest person I've ever met. I love her even though I have not met her yet. She is kind beyond words and so funny!!!! I want her to know that she is in my prayers, my thoughts, & my heart. I will be waiting patiently to hear that everything went really well and she is doing just fine. Make sure she knows how I feel and all the other stuff too. And tell her to try that trick Lei suggested about a note on her belly. Now that really cracked me up. Leilani is so funny!!!! A total HOOT!!! Lots of Love Kathy-31 days & counting
