Something here sounds a bit fishy to me...Since when is your employer actually involved in making medical decisions for you? I am confused here because I didn't even think that your employer is entitled to any info about your medical health. I am an absence administrator and when my employees call out sick, they don't even have to tell me what is wrong. We have an independent company that they submit medical records to. Insurance is handled completely separately by the insurance company and one has really nothing to do with the other. I didn't even think that it was legal for them to consult with your employer in terms of covering a service...I could be wrong but...
