Topic: RE: Any info about Dr. Max Cannon?
Hi Lynda!!!
I had no idea about the $1500 at RMAP. I have only been told about the $500 education fee. What did I miss? I have never heard of Dr. Cannon. I have chosen Dr.Simper and after talking to people he has alot of experience. I hope that someone else knows about Dr.Cannon.

Topic: Insurance
Hi - I'm needing to find insurance. I work as a technical writer/independent contractor. Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Topic: Supporting OH
I recently learned a lot about what ObesityHelp is doing by speaking with Dr. Ganz, who is on OH staff, doing events and chapters around the country. I think all of us who have ever had our lives impacted by the support and help from ObesityHelp should send in a donation to them to help with all the efforts they have always been making and continue to make, including a big push on advocacy for us presently.
I am very passionate that we all should give them a hand -- Please join me and look here to donate:
http://www.obesityhelpstore.com/products_Sponsorships.htm
One good way is to mail a donation to
ObesityHelp, Inc.
ATTN: Jim Klein, CFO
8001 Irvine Center Drive
Suite 1270
Irvine, CA 92618
Let's help them as they have helped us for so long.

Topic: Walk From Obesity?
All right who is up to the challenge??
Who has not heard about the Walk From Obesity??
If not check it out, www.walkfromobesity.com
This is an amazing cause to help educate, support, and research obesity. We can make a difference. Not only that, but it gets us active. Now for those who still can't walk far, it's not about the distance you walk, it's about gathering for a good cause and supporting one another.
Just over a year ago I would have never done something like this. I'm going to be working with the group in Columbia, Sc. There are 70 walks all over the US and OH needs members who would be interested in representing us in these walks. Some slots are already filled, but if you would be interested in volunteering your time please email me [email protected]
Anyone else, I hope you will join us in walking for a good cause. To be in the walk is $25, you get a t-shirt, and fellowship. What else can you ask for, so I challenge you to sign up today in your area.
Ps. It doesn't matter what city you decide to walk in, we are ALL walking together on September 24th.

Topic: Salt Lake Area Pound Peddlers
There is a group of us who are forming a cycling club for surgery patients, their supporters, and those who just want a group to exercise with. It is a free group. The only requirement is that you wear a helmet. We will be meeting every wed evening at 6:00 pm and Saturday mornings at 9:00 am. We are meeting at Liberty Park at the 7th East and 9th South Entrance. All rides will be at a beginners pace, and the routes are TBA
I realize the announcement is late for tomorrow, but there are several of us who plan on doing it every wed night and Saturday mornings. (Weather permitting)

Topic: Update on Wisconsin Bill
I wanted to thank everyone who called, emailed, and faxed Governor Doyle's office. Our efforts have paid off.
I got this update this morning from Dr. Garren.
"Success!
Governor Doyle has vetoed the bill eliminating Bariatric Surgery
Coverage from Wisconsin Medicaid!"
Please call and thank the Governor!
We did it!
608-266-1212 (Gov Doyle's Office)
We are trying to find more details about the veto and will let you know when we find out.
Thanks members
