Topic: Help "Self Pay" ????
I am only 33 yr old and i have been over weight my whole life. I do qualify for the Gastric Bypass surgery and i really want and need to have it done. I have no insurance and bad credit "Because of my divorce." Does any one have any suggestions on financing for the surgery I am Married and i have four kids and i weigh about 400lbs i want to be around to raise my kids. My sister and my mother both had the surgery with good results. :help: PLEASE PLEASE ANYONE with any suggestions? [email protected].

Have you called your local hospitals? We have one down here it St. George. I'm sure you have, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. Or, call a bariatric surgeons office in your town, they will probably know. Good Luck!

I really want and need the WLS. I am 50 years old , diabetic, high blood pressure, sleep apnea. It seems like i just gain and lose but this year i weigh more than I ever have :( . I would really like to have the lap band but, I have Tri -care standard and they dont pay for it. They will pay for the RNY. I guess i'm kind of scared to because i have heard of people dying and then I know a couple of people that have done really well. I gues I need some support. Anybody. PS i do agree we are put together a certian way and we should try and stay that way. Thank Joni
Topic: I am a chocoholic
I am trying to loose a few pounds and heard of a seminar that teaches you how to loose weight by eating healthy chocolate. This sounds like my type of diet! Just wanted to pass on the information if anyone else in Utah is interested. The number I got to reserve my free seat is 801-938-6787. The seminar is this Thursday at 7:00 PM in Sandy. They also said they would give you a free healthy chocolate gift for attending.
Does anyone have info on chocolate and dieting?

If anyone can please send me information about support groups in the Salt Lake area, I would really appreciate it. I just moved back here from Michigan. I had my surgery there in September 2006. I really need to find a new support group as soon as possible. Thanks!

I had Lap Band on Dec. 29th weighed 336, 2 weeks later weighed 316, but the past 2 weeks i have been VERY hungry , and now i am weighing 321!
What should I do>? I mean I am hungry ALL DAY long!!!

Congrats on your Bandiversary! I hope to be in your shoes next year at this time. I am still trying to find my surgeon. I'm not sure at this point if I trust the surgeons in Southern Utah, so I will most likely be traveling up north for my band. We'll see. Congrats on your sucess! :clap:
