Oh good. He is another one on my list. I am actually open to either Ponce De Leon, Osuna/Lopez, or else Ramos-Kelly. I feel comfortable with any of those options so now I'll be adding price and availability into the factor. When are you planning yours for?
RIght now I am thinking Dr. Osuna or Lopez through A lighter Me.com and I am sure I want the RNY even though I keep having people try to get me to switch to the sleeve. I am not scheduled yet but I am planning Oct 4th.
I wont lie I was very disappointed when I found that I had to do the diet but it was a requirement and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make this happen. So you go with the flow and it gets you that much closer to the end result.

that's great news! You are so close! I am currently still waiting for further information from my insurance company. I am hoping that I won't have to do the supervised diet but you never know...
I actually live in Idaho but am going to Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians ( Insurance requirement). I am going to have the DS hopefully with Dr Simper. I am currently having to do a 6 month supervised diet with Joann Erzinger and in month 4 of 6. I get to meet with Dr Simper in October at my last visit with her.

I completely understand everything you mentioned I to feel the same way, I hope your husband can jump on board and be there for you. I checked into UVRMC self pay aswell but 15-16,000 was way more than I could afford i am still saving for mexico but $6-7000 is a whole lot easier to pull together. Do you know what surgeon you are going with down there?
Hi! I'm from Utah as well! I was going to do my surgery through UVRMC but the cost was $18,000 as a self pay patient so I am convinced I"m going to Mexico. I am working on getting my passport and making the arrangements and hopefully will have the surgery sometime the beginning of October. My husband thinks I"m nuts but its a risk I'm willing to take at this point. I'm tired of feeling lethargic and self conscious with pain in my knees and back. He doesn't understand what it's like #1 as a woman who is overweight and the social aspect of it, #2 the physical feeling of it, #3 the emotional part of it....the years of depression and sadness and lack of confidence and feeling like anytime you pass someone in a hall or on a street thinking that they're staring at you and thinking about how fat you are. I hope he can get on board and support me because that's what I need most.

I'm going to Rocky Mountain Associated physicians because they are really good with the sleeve and that's what I am most interested in. Maybe we will have surgery around the same time! I would love to have some local people to go through this with
