I know there have got to be more of us Utahns out there, but they don't seem to come this way too often. I'm waiting on getting the Duodenal Switch. Now that I've made the decision to have surgery I am hating the "wait" period to get things going.
Have you chosen a doctor as yet?

I'm a DSer, and my whole family lives in Utah and I visit every year ... does that count?
Seriously, there are a few DSers in Utah. Kerry in St. George, Dreamy and Paula in SLC, and a couple of others ... why don't you ask this on the DS board?
Laurie
PS ... edited to add ... I know a couple of Utah DSers that don't post on the board. One lives right behind the Jordan River temple ... seriously, it is right in her back yard!

That is great news. Dr. McKinlay gave the weight loss surgery class I attended at RMAP, he seemed very nice (and young! LOL). I wish you well with your lapband and hope your recovery continues to go smoothly.

The whole RMAP clinic is awesome. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the doctors. I am 3 days post op (Lap Band) and I feel great. I am back to work and only took two pain pills.

I'm a DS wannabee, does that count?
I am hoping to have a consultation with Dr Simper. I wondered if you had any progress since you last posted?
Wishing you a wonderful 2009!

It's nice to hear recommendations on Dr. Simper. I am hoping to have a consultaton with him (I have turned in my paper work, just waiting for the insurance to OK things and then I can get an appointment).

I went through Dr.Smith. But he is in RMAP with Dr Simper. From what I hear any of those guys from RMAP are a great choice. Good luck!
