Topic: RE: Sex After WLS
Ok.... well I will start by saying a few things.  I really haven't noticed MUCH of a change when it comes to sex after WLS.  But after I had lost quite a bit of weight I had noticed that "certain" things were ALOT easier.  I can VISUALLY SEE alot more thats going on, if ya know what I mean *wink*.  Which is nice, because seeing things turns me on just that much more. I use to hate riding top because it was hard to do at 300+ lbs.  But it's much more tolerable now. It's easier to shave.... hehehe. And we have tried new positions that we wouldn't have been able to do before I had lost surgery.  That is all I can think of right now.  But as far as an increase in my libido I don't think that has taken place.  I think it's just about where it is as before I had surgery.  I was a baaaaaad horn dog..... (as bad as a teenage boy, or just any man I guess) when I was younger.  But that has changed now that I've gotton older and more mature.  Anyway, thats all I've got to say about this subject.  Let's hear from everyone else..... ANYONE?  I'm curious too!

I thought about that but then the idea hit me that it might be better to start this thread here in the Utah forum so that we can actually discuss it with people who live in the same basic environment as we do.  If it doesn't work here, I'll move it but I have faith in the people in Utah that they can open up and be honest about the changes they experience after weight loss surgery in this area.  How it affects their marriage, their relationships, their libido, whether or not they find themselves making decisions about sex that they never thought they'd make, etc.

Sean.
Maybe you should copy and paste this thread in the Sex Before and After Weightloss Surgery Forum!  You are still in the Utah Weightloss Forum!

Topic: Sex After WLS
I wanted to start this thread because I'm curious to know what everyone is finding after WLS.  We are all sexual beings and I have to believe that part of why we had WLS is because we want to look attractive (to ourselves and to others).

How many of you have found that since your WLS your libido has increased?  I still find it amazing how much mine has.  It's almost like I'm 18 again (okay, not that bad but still).

Anyway, this is a good forum to discuss all such things and I hope you'll all share your experiences, your thoughts, and your fears/desires in here.

Sean

I am just 1 week out of a laproscopic gastric bypass & I remember my mom and friend having trouble eating more than 2 bites for the longest time.  I just ate a full 6 oz yoplait yogart and only stopped because I assumed it was enough.  No pain, or feeling of full.  Isn't this odd?  I dont want to over eat & I am nervous that I did all this for nothing.
Don't stress.  That's first and most important.  Second, not everyone's pouch is the same size after surgery.  The pouch size is really a guestimate.  They try to measure it out but it's not an exact science.  I also had a larger than normal pouch -- and I've talked to others who did as well.  However, I was still able to lose 250 lbs.  So again, don't stress.

Just realize that it is important to realize that you don't have to be full in order to not be hungry.  If you eat slowly, eat what you're supposed to, and stop when you're supposed to, you'll find that while you might not get that full sensation, your hunger pains will stop and that you're alright at that point.

Keep a conscious eye on how much you eat.  What Amy said is true (for the most part).  Yogurt is a slider food.  It doesn't tend to stay in your very long.  However, if you are like me and you love yogurt, don't be afraid to use it from time to time (it's a better snack than a meal).  The best yogurt can only be purchased at Smith's.  It's called Carb Master.  It doesn't have the sugar (only 3 g) in it that all other yogurts (even the light) have, it has less carbs (4 g) and more protein (12 g) than any yogurt I've ever seen.  Also because it's not as sweet (other so-called light yogurts are sweetened with sucralose or aspartame which have a tendency to increase your appetite).

Finally, never, ever, ever think that you did this for nothing.  Just get in the habit of keeping a food journal, spacing your meals 4-5 hours between, drinking water between each meal (minimum of 64 ounces each day), and focus on eating quality foods using the 70/30 and portion size approach.  You might eat slightly more than other people and you might not relate to someone who says they can only eat one bite and then they're full but you're still good.

Hey everyone!  I had a great idea this morning in the shower.  Let's collect all the complaints you might have on RMAP and suggestions on how they can improve.  Please do not post them here but rather go to www.seanstransformation.blogspot.com, click on my profile and send them to my personal email address (or you can send them to me here by clicking on "Connect" at the bottom and leaving me a private message.

I've been talking to RMAP's office manager, Ray Wilde and he is pretty receptive to things.  I thought I would take a one-shot attempt and providing everyone's complaints, etc. (even if you have nice things, let me know) and passing them on.  Everything will be anonymous (even if you give me your name) so have no fear.  So take a moment and shoot me an email today.

Thanks.
Sean

You're so funny.  Anyway, keep in mind when you do plastics that it's not about looking perfect (though we all wish we could) but really just doing away with the areas you can't live with.  The whole body lift pretty much does your torso (including your breasts), butt and lower thighs.  Then your inner thighs and upper arms would complete the package.  Of course you're right, all of that would cost you somewhere between $15k-$20k depending on the surgeon.  Good luck finding the rich uncle or sugar daddy.  lol
