Insurance covererage for lapband?

I was looking over the site and I noticed the insurance coverage for RNY but has anyone had their lap band covered by insurance here in Utah? Thanx! Linda

I have BCBS and they would not cover the Lap-Band when I had it back in November of 2003. I am not sure if that has changed. I do know some people who have a Lap-Band that was covered by insurance. Going to a seminar is a good way to get more helpful info about insurance. Good luck! Allison 11/17/03 -80
