Please read my profile to see my insurance dilemna and maybe you can help me. I only have Cigna for 3 more months. Anyone ever gotten Cigna approval without the 26 week medically supervised diet? Sure could use some help here. THANKS

WW should have a record of your membership. I would check with them and see if they could provide you with any documentation. You could also check with your pharmacy if you ever took any kind of weight loss medication (like Phen-phen) and see if they have a record. Also if you went to a doctor for WL they may have on your chart what you were there for and that would provide further documentation. Good luck.

Hi Roxanne, I too have Cigna and had to provide the 26 week diet AND excercise documentation. All that I provided was a letter from my pcp stating she had monitered my wieght loss attempts monthy for 26 consecutive weeks and they accepted that from me. I totally know how disappointed you are. I cried and got real depressed for along time. I started my fight with cigna in January 03 and after a denial for a psych-eval and nutrition consult and then a denial for lack of 26 week supervised weight loss and excercise attempts I finally recieved approval in June. Then it too****ill August 13th to see my surgeon. I started my process in December 02. Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers. I really understand how you feel.

My weigh****chers was years ago but I could try and see how far back their records go. As far as old pharmacies and doctors, I've lived in 3 different states in the past 5 years. This makes things a little more challenging. But I will see what I can dig up. Thanks for the input
