Does anyone know why Dr Halverson doesn't do the lap and only open?

Does anyone know why Dr Halverson doesn't do the lap and only open? I'd rather have Dr Halverson but I do want to have it lap. It's my understanding he's well experienced in laproscopic surgery so I'm not sure why he doesn't do the rny lap. I saw him at one of the surgery support group meetings, he seemed very nice and had a "good aura".

Nevermind everyone, I found out why. Let's just say he is better at the open procedure.

Halverson is the reason I went with the OPEN, my insurance covered both.. However, I still went with the OPEN and I'm glad I had Halverson... I am 15 days post op, insision is almost healed and I'm walking a mile an a half each day... GO WITH HALVERSON Chuck
