I keep hearing conflicting info abou****er/food. I hear that you are suppose to stop drinking 30 minutes before eating and I also hear some people saying on here that you can't drin****il 30 minutes after finishing eating. Now what is what. I heard some woman on the message board a few days ago correct a woman and tell her it was 30 minutes after eating. Then today I saw a woman who mentioned about her not drinking 30 minutes before eating. CONFUSED........HELP

My doctor told me both before and after. It is a habit I have to drink while eating so that has been tough. I am almost a month post op and have not lost as much as I hoped but am 17% to my goal so I guess I should be happy about that. I guess you just follow your doctors directions on this one.

Hi There Roxanne! I know for the lap band it is 30 minutes before AND after AND during meals. This is to help keep you fuller longer. With all that lubrication the food will slide on through and not keep the pouch full. Have you had your surgery yet? Was it banding or bypass? Tash
