GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Enjoyed the 3 day weekend. Had a good visit with dad yesterday.
Work at the top of my agenda today. Tonight Sisters and I might go to a OAC webinar presentation. They are streamlining it live from Methodist Dallas. It all depends on us getting off work in time. No biggie if we don't go.
All that eating out showed up on the scale this morning, up a couple of pounds but still in midrange of goal. Would like to be on the lower end before cruise in a couple of weeks.
Have a great day!

Good morning. Off to another day at work , then to my sisters for dinner for her birthday. I didn't get home until after 8 last night, so will have another long day. I'll get to see the new great niece, Allie and her big brother, Aiden. Hope everyone has a good day!

Lest I forget and with all the hoopla in town I'm not able to - this Saturday is the 9th Annual Cotton Harvest Festival in the Birthplace of Big Tex. Small town living at its finest! If you don't have anything on the agenda for Saturday - COME SEE! Activities all day long and a street dance that starts at 8:00 and goes till Midnight.
Managed to get some sleep last night after not sleeping night before because of coughing my head off. Two, okay six before night was over, Tessalon gel caps could contain the hacking.
Another wet day so going to try and stay inside and work on letter writing. That was plan for yesterday but due to fatigue and the Post Office being closed figured why bother. Need to treadmill when I get home too even though the scales were user friendly this morning.
Go do your thing!

BRENDA-my Hobby Lobby started stocking their Christmas shelves the last week in JULY...no lie..the only good thing about it was that it made me THINK it wasn't 110 degrees outside..and it DOES give me a headstart on crafting...not that I'm not going to PROCRASTINATE anyway..
It's not Christmas Eve unless I'm shopping !!

Not sure I'm ready to think about Christmas, yet.
Me neither.

Think I am going to like the deeper sink.
We like ours but the dog is not too thrilled about it! Makes it easier to give her a b-a-t-h.

Good rainy Monday to everyone. Isn't the rain wonderful? Not much going on. Phone isn't ringing this morning. So, looks like a slow day at work for me. Had an OK weekend. DH was gone to NM on business, so It was just me and the fur baby!. I did go to lunch with a friend Saturday afternoon, and checked out the new "Lobby Hobby" store in Lewisville. It is big! Lots of pretty Christmas items. Not sure I'm ready to think about Christmas, yet. Well, have a great day!

Bank holiday so no work for me today. Going to drive down to Sulphur Bluff and visit dad today.
Kitchen is done, countertop and new sink has been installed. Think I am going to like the deeper sink.
Have a great day!

Good morning, my TMB Family!
If I let "Rainy days and Mondays get me down" I'd really get a double whammy today, wouldn't I ? I've been humming that song all morning...we used to sing it, on the school bus, when I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade...those "older" 5th grade boys were SOOOOO "cute" and "groovy"...awwwww...sure made me swoon then...
It's just me and my niece, Brynleigh, home today. She'll be 5 months old tomorrow, and already thinks her GiGi is the funniest tall peep, on the planet. Is there anything better than a truly happy baby, who is honestly happy to see your face? I wasn't sure she even know who I AM, but she hasn't seen me since Thursday, and when her mama pulled the canopy off her carseat this morning, and Brynleigh saw my face, she squealed and tried to jump out of that carseat-she KNEW where she was--y'all KNOW GiGi ate that up! She still at that age where she pretty much stays where I put her, so the plan is to do some "domestic duties" today. I love to "clean inside", while God "cleans outside"....Here is a pic of Brynleigh, wearing my first attempt at bow making. I think I got a little carried away...
Went to extended family reunion this weekend. Lots of "wow moments" and lots of SILENT "I'm so glad YOU got old and ugly" moments...the later were for older 2nd cousins who were "oohh la la" and always skinny, better dressed, married better, etc than the rest of us...Haven't seen a lot of people in decades, so they didn't even know WHO I was...LOVED it...I'm still poor..but I am in better health and was nicer than ANY of those old snobs!! AND--I got to see ELVIS--IN PERSON--and they did NOT..lol,,REVENGE is SWEET !!!
But...the ummm...NICE cousin here ate ten kajillion calories this weekend, and has to totally up her protein/fluids/exercise this week, and keep her head in the game, because I KNOW where even 2 days of craziness can lead me. I have done it TOO many times. I was in the car the majority of yesterday, so couldn't do a whole lot, but TODAY is TODAY!!
Here's hoping for a GREAT, HEALTHY week for ALL of us !!
