Good Monday Everyone, Hope you had a great weekend. We had a sleet/ice storm yesterday with thunder sleet. UGH Hate this weather. I am grateful though that I went ahead and went to church yesterday and made it home safely too. Grateful that there doesn't seem to be many accidents on the roads today despite the iced bridges and overpasses. Grateful for my WLS, my maintenance, my family, friends, faith, God. Obesity Help, and life in general. Grateful for a beautiful saturday despite the ice storm yesterday. You know you live in Texas when one day it's in the 80's and the next day is 20. LOL That is a true fact Ya'll. I am grateful that I got a good nights sleep last night. Grateful for ALL the things that I can do now that I couldn't do before my WLS......Grateful for a new week. Oh its okay, the weather WAS crazy and safety first.  I'm not like really lonely I just have no one to relate to and be active with.  Don't feel bad!! Oh and I live in the Bedford area.

I'm glad that you found OH and I am SO sorry that I felt the need to cancel my meeting for yesterday.   AdornKelley.....where do you live?   Are you in the Ft. Worth area?   If so I can meet you anytime for a walk or to talk or whatever.    Being lonely isn't good and can even set you up for failure as far as doing emotional eating.   FYI....I rarely ever cancel one of my Support Group Meetings but since saturday they were giving a 70% chance of the weather that we got hitting....I felt the need to cancel.   I do have a lady who occasionally comes from Hillsboro and I would die if any of my members had a accident trying to get to my meeting.    Please PM me if you need to talk....I'm always off and online.   Not usually on OH much on the weekend though.

WHOA!  What happened to the thermometer?  Nearly 80 Friday afternoon and 20 on the porch this AM!  Throw in the wind and double DAYUM!  It is COLD!  Going to take 30 minutes to warm my truck up and get all the build up off of it not to mention the drive to work with an arched bridge to get over getting there. 

Would love to stay home but text from my Chief said we don't get snow days!

I came here in hopes of making friend with people who have a new appreciation for life.   

I can relate living out in the edge of the boonies of North and East Texas.  Long ways to a support group meeting or even a gym.  That is why I stay on OH a lot after all this time and keep a working treadmill at home.  Finding though that scratching below the surface a little I know enough people who have had WLS in one form or another that we could have our own support group here. 

Put your radar up around the gym and walking paths.  May pick up on somebody talking about having had surgery and there is your opportunity to break the ice.  Case in point a barista at the drive through at a Starbucks commented she was happy because she was down a hundred pounds that day.  Got to talking and next thing I'm doing is showing her the scars on my stomach.  Small world.
