Good morning,
Long day yesterday, DH picked me up from work and we had flat on the way home luckily we were able to drive to tire shop since he had no spare and not sure I could have changed it as he ain't healed enough yet to do it. I does have a spare now. Guess I need to renew my AAA membership. Tire shop next to Mexican restaurant so guess where we had dinner?
Work and watching survivor tonight is my agenda for the day!
Have a great day!

Hello! I am curious if anyone has any experience getting approved for body contouring through insurance. I paid cash for my surgery back in 2007 and the amount of excess skin I have is ridiculous and uncomfortable to say the least. Granted..I do not have boils bursting out of every fold ..I do have issues that i am now realizing that maybe I should start documenting. If anyone is willing to share can you tell me what your insurance providers requirements were, what type of insurance, your pre op BMI and anything else you think that might be helpful. My case is going to be weird because I paid cash originally in the first place. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Yes it is!
Managed to catch some treadmill time yesterday. Thinking about going back to walking the road again. Nice to be able to watch TV and be in a climate controlled environment. But I think the body is acclimated to the routine and could use the change. But not today. May be seeing rain in my part of the world.
Work and more work are one and two on the agenda.
Keep the umbrella within reach.
I just received word from insurance that my surgery has been approved!! I'm so excited that I can move forward. Gotta pay for surgeon fee up front & schedule a surgery date. It will have to be mid-June since I'm a teacher. I've had such a positive response from friends & family about my decision. Just wanted to share!!
Good Tuesday Everyone,
Hope your week is going well. Mine is going to be very busy....week that is. In a little while I have to go to the lung specialist with my hubby and this coming weekend my 28 yr. old son is moving back home ( hopefully for not very long ). Needless to say I am very grateful today for life and for God giving me another day to live life. Today I am grateful that over 9 yrs. ago I started looking into WLS. I went to a seminar and it took me about 7 to 8 months to finally decide that is what I wanted to do and get that ball rolling. That is one of the best decision that I have ever made concerning my health. I am so grateful for my health, life, WLS choice, family, friends, things that I can do now since I have lost weight ( BTW....I never got to a NORMAL BMI ). That doesn't make me a failure though. I am a much healthier weight that before and that is more what it is about....NOT so much reaching that magic number on the scale although that would have been nice... but to get healthy and be happy with who you are and what you've accomplished. I am grateful that it finally clicked in my head that I don't have to be that "magic size or number" to be a success. I think we ALL beat ourselves up when we don't reach that goal ( number ) that we had for ourselves. I am SO GRATEFUL that I finally "get that". I am grateful for God opening my eyes to so many things in my life that I thought were important and really they aren't that important at all. Grateful for my faith and answered prayers. SO grateful for Obesity Help and all the amazing people here always willing to help out another fellow WLS patient with questions and much sought after answers. Grateful for support groups as well. PLEASE share if you will what you are grateful for today and have a blessed day.
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Good morning
A wake before the alarm once again.
I need to have something loaded to my laptop and they can't seem to do it remotely so headed into the office today. Sister still has my car so DH taking me which works for me since he has to deal with the traffic and I get dropped off and picked up at the door.
My scale has not been friendly lately either and my snacking don't help.
Have a great day!

Well I dodged the bullet going to court yesterday afternoon. Wound up at the dentist office instead. Had stopped at my office after lunch and on the way back out snagged a Tootsie Roll. Got two chews in and felt something metallic. The TR had latched onto an old crown and popped it off. Considering its age bit the bullet and getting a new one.
Work and getting on the treadmill when I get home. Scales not my friend.
Don't worry, Vivian! I Will NEVER GIVE UP! I have put this in the Hands of God and I trust Him completely! Thank you for your prayers and support. Have a wonderful day.
God bless you
Debra
