Dr. Now ??? Is that how his name is spelled? I haven't heard of him .. There was a father and son WLS duo in Houston that used to be on some weight loss surgery show about WLSers, but I forgot their names ..

Paul...my WLS.... Dr. David D. Kim also does DS & has many patients who are very successful. He has centers in Colleyville & in the Dallas area.

Still no "vetted" DS surgeons in the Houston area, unfortunately, and definitely none that do revisions from the RNY. You can check out www.DSfacts.com and www.duodenalswitch.com for lists of vetted DS surgeons in Texas, although one or both may not be current. The only vetted DS surgeon in north Texas is Dr. Ayoola, who is the surviving surgeon of Dr. Stewart's bariatric clinic in Denton/McKinney. Dr. Stewart unfortunately passed away suddenly 2 or 3 years or so ago. Dr. A. though receives excellent patient reviews for his DS procedures. I don't know though whether he does revisions.

Well, I did a little digging in response to my earlier comment, and it looks like VP has not posted anything to the forum since summer of lat year (this includes her "daily motivation quote"s and invitation to attend her weekly support group meetings in Keller). She does mention something about having to "step back" from OH at that time b/c of some personal family cir****tances that were taking place. Hopefully she is O.K. and will rejoin us in the near future. In the meantime, here is her standard invitation post to the support group meetings (they're held monthly, not weekly - oops), in case anyone wants to check them out and see if she is still holding them:

Hello Everyone, This is a reminder that this coming sunday from 3:30 - 4:30 PM will be our monthly support group meeting at Carroll Watkins Driving School. 303 N. Main St. Keller, Tx 76248. Our topic this month is Vacations. Please let me know if you will be attending so I will have enough materials printed. Have a fantastic week. Hope to see you there. Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivi

Does VP (Vivian Prouty) still host her weekly support group in (Keller?)?

Amen to all that, Don. I especially miss the Texas OH conventions.

I recently moved to Bryan, TX from Phoenix, AZ to save up for RNY surgery in Mexico next year. I would like to meet up with others who have had the surgery or will get it. Anyone live in this area?

I live in Bryan, TX and I don't even know where to go to look for support in my area. Also, I am getting my surgery in Mexico and I don't know how to find a dr here for after care or any issues I may have.
