Friday WLX - All Aboard!!

Other than a broken cook top remodeling went well yesterday.  So well in fact that I forgot to set my alarm clock last night!  Nothing like being discombobulated to throw you off!

Weather folks saying no rain and triple digits.  Wonderful.  Going to set AC up little higher when I leave the house.  Give it, and my light bill, a bit of a break from yesterday day.  Don't think it cut off till late in the evening with all the in and out the door that was going on.

Keep the water bottle/tea glass handy and have a fun weekend!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Good Morning

Work and going out to dinner with DH is my plans for the day.

Scales displayed lower digits this morning, almost back to the middle of my goal range.

Semi busy weekend ahead visiting friends and going to see dad on Sunday.

Have a great day!

SAUNDRA-I keep meaning to ask you-how large a "goal range" do you "allow" yourself?. Now that I am at goal "number" again, I know, in my mind, I should get somewhere below it, for some "cushion room". I have always SAID I don't want to be "a slave to the scale", but I know I have be REALITY BASED also--and I SURE know how quickly regain happens when I bury my head in the sand (and in the chip bag)

I very much respect you, and appreciate your input

My goal is for the numbers on the scale to always start with 1 1 which gives me a 10 lb range. I actually was below goal around 2.5 to 3 years out but knew I would have some regain. I steps on the scales every morning so when the scales stay up for several days I know it's time to be mindful of what I am eating.

SAUNDRA-I like that! As much as I TRY not to be a scale ho, I KNOW I have to stay mindful of the "numbers". I have regained way too many times, in my life-both pre and post WLS, not to know it is reality

Good morning. I am off for 3 days and I am heading to Dallas this morning for a girls weekend. I've done too much manual labor around here and need a rest from it! Looking forward to vacations in the future. I booked my husband and son and I a Nassau, Bahamas vacation over the Christmas holidays and yesterday I booked a cruise for next summer for me with friends that starts in San Juan and goes to Barbados, St. kitts, St. Lucia, St. Martten and one other island. Sure looking forward to all those islands, beaches and blue water.

Have a good weekend.

KARLA-I can't think of anyone, here, who deserves vacations more than YOU! The Christmas one sounds sounds especially awesome!

I went Puerto Rico a few years ago-absolutely gorgeous beach/water. Our Tx beaches still my preference, of course, but I had never seen anything as clear, etc as tha****er in San Juan-totally different world

Hope you have a truly fun weekend. Girl time IS the BEST time

Happy Friday, y'all!

Up and at 'em early today...had to take my beloved Green Bean (Beetle) to the shop this morning.  Just waiting for the estimate to see how much I'm going to be bled for today.  This has been an expensive month!

Prepping for a meeting tomorrow at UT-Dallas of a bunch of Biology teachers...looking forward to seeing a bunch of colleagues I haven't seen since before surgery.

Going to stay in with the air conditioning today...100+ degree temps and I don't mix well!

Hope y'all have a great weekend...stay cool!

What year model is your Beetle?  Is it one of the "new" ones or one of the "real" Beetles from back in the day?

It's a 2001, so the first year of the new ones. Now when I was a kid we had a yellow one--one of the oldies but goodies!
