Monday WLX - All Aboard!!
What a weekend and I don't mean that in a good sense.
Bummed out by news of Kidd Kraddick's passing. Not a regular listener but on occasion would stop in and listen. Can appreciate his Kidd's Kids charity though. Scary part is that he was only two years older than me!
Heard that my late father's boss passed away Friday night. Mr. Mitchell was 94. Dad went to work for him a couple of years after The Woodlands was launched. Dad would joke that the "Energy" side was funding the "Development" side. I can remember as a teenager going out there and getting a pick up full of logs to bring home and cut up for firewood when they were clearing out for some of the streets. Needless to say that was a long, long, long time ago. Mr. Mitchell delivered part of the eulogy at Dad's funeral.
Fast forward back to the present - work today and if I can get some time in on the treadmill all the better. Ready for a break in the heat but doesn't appear like it is going to happen this week. Know it will happen when we go to Alaska!
Go Forth and keep the water/tea/non-alcoholic/non-carbonated beverage handy!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Busy week with things to do each day to get the house clean and packed up for a weekend trip this Friday.
Ben is in Ft. worth at coaches school for a few days. I'm sure he is enjoying getting away from his witch of a mom!
Have a good day to all.

Morning TMB Family,
Not alot going on at my house this AM. I'm still working on getting my cup of coffee down. I had a extremely busy weekend. I did get to see my granddaughter yesterday at a baby shower. That was the highlight of my weekend. LOL I dread the 100's returning but I think we are truly lucky to have had the break in the weather in July. Have a wonderful day everyone...remember to stay hydrated.

None of us came back winners, I only lost $40 so not bad for a weekend of entertainment.
DH has gone to pick up two of the dogs, I know they will be glad to be home. We had the other one at Petsmart hotel and was able to get him last night.
Off today and plan to work on extra bedroom if I can get my lazy butt up out of bed.
Have a great day!

Hello friends,
Low key weekend here at home, but they seem more so lately since now hubby is getting ready for sleeve surgery of his own two weeks from today! We went grocery shopping yesterday and it was nice to shop like a regular person again...I get to graduate to soft foods tomorrow! I have never been so excited to eat a scrambled egg in my whole life.
Struggling with some pain today, thanks Ma Nature! I was given Celebrex to substitute for my standby Aleve, but I have to take it with food, and I don't start soft foods until tomorrow. I'll live...our ancestors did!
Hoping my first shot at soft foods goes well tomorrow. I'm tired of shakes. :(
Gearing up to start school again in 3 weeks...where did the summer go?
Hope you all have a good Monday!

Hello, TMB family! Time for the Caboose!
DON-I share your feelings regarding Kidd Kraddick..good guy..just really, really good guy. I remember when he first came to Dallas, on KEGL, evening show, I think-probably close to 30 yrs ago now. He was 2 yrs OLDER than you? Well, he was 3 yrs YOUNGER than me. The last I heard the possible cause of death was brain anyersym (sp)-which can happen at any age, of course. He touched so, so many lives...
Twas a short weekend in these parts-must be a different time zone or something. The highlight, for me, was TRACEY taking me to lunch, for a belated birthday celebration, and good old BBF/gossip time. She also gifted me with this GREA****ch:
Does she KNOW me, or what??
Monday work day is over...whew...think I will go rest a bit, then sweep...then probably go to bed (I'm such a nerd!)
See y'all tomorrow!!
