Weekend WLS Express
Happy Saturday, family!! Looks like I missed the train all week..AGAIN..such a slacker...leaving the house before 5:30 am is getting easier, and zi like getting off at 3:30, but hate missing the train...
It's been the usual. busy week around here. The tornado missed us, by a few miles...only got some tree/trash debris by high volume wind/rain...
Got a new family member on Thursday-another great niece for GiGi to spoil. Madi knows she is not supposed to "touch the babies", at daycare, so when I showed her the baby she just looked at her and grunted "NO"...Miss Brynleigh Raelyn Stevens is coming home today, I think. Her big bro, Brayden, is still staying with me, until at least tomorrow anyway, because he WANTS to..imagine that...crazy kid...``

We Can Do Hard Things
I LOVE the picture Gina. Congrats to mom and dad and Braydon on the little sister. Too cute. I've got to get off my computer and get to my "chores" around my house. I hope the rain doesn't happen on monday since 2 of my 3 sons are going to be painting my house. I need to get one of the on my roof to check and see if shingles are messed up. I've got one of my AC vents that has water spots around it. My hubby think its condensation from the AC unit. I'm not so sure about that. But hopeing my 30 yrs. roof is still OK. I think it's about 5 yrs. old. Have a great day and congrats to your new addition to your nieces.
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Happy Sunday morning!! Hope this finds everyone healthy and happy..or at least not falling apart...
I finally went to the ER yesterday, after several days of NEEDING to go (yea, I'm a terrible patient...the worst)...even though I was having chest pains, and my bio dad dropped dead at 50, of a heart attack, I somehow think I always KNOW my heart is "just fine"...Well, this time I was RIGHT, again..my heart is GREAT..the pain is a flare up of Costocondritis (inflammation of cartlidge around ribs and breastbone), and a cracked rib..only hurts when I BREATHE or MOVE..easy/peasy, huh? Treatment of choice: ice/rest/NSAIDS...crap..My old, now retired doc used to put steroid injection straight into the intercostal space-hurt like hell, but sure worked...the ER doc was young/sweet, but didn't feel comfy doing that..WTH?...I'll call my PCP in the am for follow up..
Today I need to return Brayden to his house. Baby sis, Bryleigh, went home yesterday, and we gave her one night alone with her parents-it's time to get her used to "the real world" now..lol..and that includes her loud big brother!
My eating is going well, but my exercise is still MOOT..and it has nothing to do with my current "crippled" status. I just cannot seem to get myself remotivated to get my butt moving. I don't know WHAT it is going to take. I get lots and lots of stretching/ups/downs/etc/etc but absolutely no distance or cardio..Feel free to inspire me !!!!!
Hope your Sunday is Fab-U-Lous !!!
Seems I can't post anymore without adding a pic..this is one of my faves from Madi's bday party, last week:

We Can Do Hard Things
Today is early church and SS, maybe lunch out and a run to Walmart for a few things. Home to doa few chores and rest.
My child finally has a real job. Yeah! He signs his contract to be a coach and 7th grade Science teacher here in Livingston. He has always wanted to do something in sports. He will be coaching with at least 2 guys about his age that he already knows, so that is good. He will also be working for a principal that was a coach and teacher with me and a good friend of mine is the AP that was his teacher years ago and our families do things together from time to time. Hopefully he will be comfortable with of them. He is coming off of my payroll come September. Woohoo!

KARLA-I'm soooo happy for Ben. I remember these very things (the teaching/coaching-IN Livingston) being exactly what he said he wanted to do...back before he had even finished high school..KUDOS to him for reaching his goals !!

DON-I didn't win either..but I shouldn't be TOO disappointed..seeing as I was too cheap to buy a ticket..
Are you getting nervous about the wedding? We all know the bride gets nervous, but we hardly ever get to hear the groom's side of the story. Since we don't personally know Jan-and feel protectibe toward our "brother", DON, (or at least I do), we want to be sure you are happy..if that came out right and makes any sense..
You SEEM more happy and content, than I've ever known you to be..just sayin'...
