We Can Do Hard Things

Happy Saturday, family! I'm happy to sit, drink my protein, and catch up with y'all a bit before I have to attack all things I have/need to do today. It's mostly 'fun" stuff, but there are "deadlines" involved..and responsiblities..and family...and a few ignorant family...you get the picture..lol..

I'm helping "host" my niece's baby shower today. All I was SUPPOSED to do was ask TRACEY to get the local community room (as an ISD teacher, she can get it)..somehow that turned into TRACEY and I setting up/decorating/etc/etc..and. of course, poor TRACEY is still in the hospital. From her bed she arranged to get the key to me, but not sure even SHE can figure out how to decorate from her hospital bed-not that she wouldn't TRY!! I will have to be very territorial about the room-esp since it is under TRACEY's name--people can't tear anything up/let their kids run wild/can't smoke/everything has to clean/etc/etc..crap...I'm tired already..and my main "go to guys", Corbin and Richard, are gone to the drag races, in Ennis, all day....CRAP...Sometimes I think I should have been an only child, instead of #2 of 6...

Still no idea when TRACEY might be out of the hospital. A bed did finally open up on the specialty GI floor, so she got moved yesterday. Dirk called me lasrt night, and asked if I could keep Blake tomorrow. Guess my answer !!!!

What's on YOUR agenda today ????

Prayers for Tracey AND July, who has also been in the hospital all week.

I am enjoying a relaxing weekend doing a whole lotta nothing. Being a single mom of two little ones, these weekends are rare. I need to recharge my battery to make it through the last 32 days of school. I think I can make it without strangling any of my juniors!! indecision

I hope the shower went well, Gina!!

Good Sunday morning. Enjoyed anday of shopping yesterday at Oenzey's spices in Addison and the Galleria, then Jack's birthday party in Carrollton. We ended the night about 9 or so eating dinner at Freebirds before heading back to the hotel. Tis morning we are meeting all the family for brunch at Breadwinners at Inwood Village. Love their Eggs Benedict!

Headed home after that. We have Aggie Muster at 5:00 or so until later in the e ending.

Have a good day to all.

Prayers that July and Tracey both heal soon.

Karla
