Hump Day Zephyr - All Aboard!
What was that kid's malfunction at Lone Star College in Cypress? If he thought he was being bullied in the "free world" he's in for a major shock.
Weather is changing yet again. This is Texas. We've all heard the saying about "give it ten minutes".
Go Forth but don't forget your coats and umbrellas!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
No rain or storms here yet, but is chilly outside.
Got taxes filed last night and started packing. Looks like I will be overpacking again.
Phones are not working, AT&T has the line running across alley and when truck drove down, it got hung and now both home and work line don't work. I thought I submitted trouble ticket online Monday but apparently I never hit submit. Line appeared to only run up to our house.
Agenda today is work and if I don't work to late will make a Walmart run, need to get my fake tan started.
Have a great day!

We Can Do Hard Things
Good Morning Don, Saundra and TMB Family,
Hope today is better than yesterday. Yesterday I went shopping at Sams and Walmart and ended up leaving my wallet at the check out at Walmart. Thank GOD i went back yesterday afternoon to get something I had forgotten and discovered my wallet missing from my purse. I rushed back home thinking i had taken it out there only to discover it wasn't at home. I back tracked and thought about Walmart. I called and thank God when I was there they weren't busy and no one was behind me in line and the cashier saw it and took it to the service desk. Too bad they didn't call me. If I had waited till today I probably wouldn't have had a clue where it was at. That really sounds bad but my memory is SO bad. UGH really makes me sick. SO very thankful though that I did get the wallet back and I'm pretty sure everything is in it. I was VERY LUCKY !!! Have a blessed day !!
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

VIVIAN-the "wallet fairy" was truly looking out for you..A lost/stolen wallet can be one of the biggest hassles of a lifetime! Besides the obvious loss of $$, notifying credit cards, etc, there is stuff you don't think about until you need it...like only needing ONE more punch until you earned a free smoothie at Smoothie King..I know it sounds silly, but I started crying at SK-it all came to a head that day, I guess..Glad you got it back, so quickly

The "lost wallet" genie was indeed with you. Can recall a trip to Las Vegas with a certain red headed woman that lost her wallet at one of the casinos. Fate smiled down on her and an employee had turned into security with all its contents.
Flip the script - one of my compadres is working a case where the wallet "was found out in the parking lot" when the video shows him, the Turd, picking it up off the counter where the lawful owner unintentionally left it just minutes before. He helped himself to the $375 that was inside of it before bringing it back inside the store. We don't catch the "smart" ones!

Good morning everyone, Well I had a wonderful few days off last week. Was so nice just to relax and not worry about stuff for a while. Did make up to see Dad over the weekend. Sat. he was feeling ok, then Sun morning sick again. don't even think he knew I was there. But he seems to be doing better now. Guess he had a little 24hr bug. There is so much sickness going around in the Nursing Home. I'm back to work. And business is slow. hate the cold / wet weather today. But we need that rain. Maybe, it will be gone by the time I get off work..well I can HOPE!!! Everyone have a good day...

BRENDA-I bet, in his OWN way, your daddy DID/DOES know you were there...not knowing him or his actual cognitive level, I'm going out on a limb here, but, my 35+ yrs as a nurse, many of it spent with geriatrics, I can assure the folks may not know EXACTLY who you are (daughter named Brenda, that you are a grown woman, etc), but hey know you are SOMEONE WHO BELONGS TO THEM..vs a stranger coming in...My grandfather frequently thought I was my grandmother (they had been divorced for 30 yrs-didn't make his current wife any too happy-esp since he always wanted LOTS of kisses and hugs..lol), but he didn't recognize my siblings by any familiar names at all-or his current wife. The human mind is a wondurous machine..and the heart is even more wondurous..the LOVE doesn't go away...it may get confused..but it is still IN there..
I hope you are able to continue your visits-for YOU, as well as for him

OMG, Gina---You made me cry! Thank you so much for your beautiful words.. I do pray that he does/will know it's me when he is in this state of mind. I love that man to the moon and back! and it just kills me to see his body deteriorate the way it has over the past couple years. I have other siblings, but it is me that makes sure he is OK..taken to Dr's appt. and Nursing Home doing their job, etc. And being 2hrs away just makes it worst.
Brenda
DON--thank you for your faithfulness in starting the train every day. I've been having to leave the house too early, to climb abaord, but want you to know I always read the train-even if it is DAYS later!
That stuff at Lone Star College...mind boggling...
