It 'twas the night before surgery....

Okay, it's April 2nd, the day before my surgery. No, i need to correct that, it is 1:37 a.m. the morning OF surgery. I went to sleep early, but woke up at 11 p.m. to a  dripping sound. Sure enough, we have a small - very small - leak in our hotel room. After calling the front desk, I'm afraid I'm up for the count :(. Thankfully, the leak is not bad enough that we have to move, or at least not right now!! Poor young girl at the front desk. She didn't have a clue as to what to tell us.

I had a great day, yesterday. I went to my pre-op appointments at Dr. Stewart's office and then to FPMC (hospital) for paper work & blood work. Everything went really smoothly, but it was an all-day excursion. I check into the hospital at 8 a.m. in the morning & have surgery @ 10 a.m.  I'm excited and really not nearly as nervous or scared as I thought I'd be.

My mom and I drove to the Dallas area, on Monday for my surgery.. We're 6-7 hours from home (Lubbock), so Monday was a long day, too. Right now, I think the thing I dread most is that drive home. Oh well, God has provided for me all this way, and I know He will as we travel back home. Asking for everyone's continued prayers. Know that I'll be doing the same for you :)

BLESSINGS.....Susie

Good Surgery Morning Susie,

Don't worry about your trip home.   I know you will do great.   I'd stop every little bit and walk around.    That will give your incissions a rest from the pressure of the seatbelt and give you some exercise so you won't be so stiff and sore when you do get home.   I am glad that you are so calm today.   I've been praying that you would be at peace with your decision on this surgery and be calm and peaceful this AM.    Some people the day of surgery are ready to walk way and cancel due to fear.   Sorry your hotel room has  a leak.   Hopefully they will get it repaired but that could be doubtful since we have more rain in the forecast.   Big prayers going out for you and for a uneventful and very successful surgery.   You will do amazing I just know it.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.
