Hi I am new to this site.
I like the Texas Forum. Just had RNY on March 5. Its been slow progress and frustrating at times, however I am looking to the fun times to come.
Hi, welcome to the board. Not much activity here but there are a few of us here most days.
Congrats on your surgery, hope you post often and keep us posted on your progress.

We Can Do Hard Things
Welcome to the TMB Chrissy. Like everyone said...this is NOT a super active board but there is usually someone on here ( although sat. and sun. are pretty slow ) so if you have questions you can ask us and I'm sure someone will answer. If you want a answer immediately....you might want to post on one of the other boards. Welcome to our "little family" !!! Don't get discouraged about the slower WL though. BTW...what surgery did you have? Congrats !!!
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

CHRISSY-you have already DONE what I would have suggested you DO--that would be to put on some on warpaint and get out of the house-even if it is just to walk to the end of the driveway..then the next time you walk to the neighbor's driveway, etc...just TAKE IT SLOWLY...
YOU HAVE HAD VERY MAJOR SURGERY, WITH VERY MAJOR ANESTHESIA..yes, I AM shouthing here..sorry...force of habit..34+ year nurse and 23+ year mama here..lol...
and...TAKE YOUR PAIN MEDS WHEN YOU ARE HURTING..it is NOT NOT NOT a sign of weakness...You have just had your guts re-arranged..it's supposed to hurt..
The "hunger" will come and go...at this point it probably is "head hunger", as your physical body should not be able to feel physical hunger yet..please stay on your doc's protocal..think of your new pouch as a newborn baby..what do we feed newborn babies? Fritos? Ice cream? Of course not.
You sound like you already really have it together, and I predict you are going to be very successful in this LIFETIME journey!!
