Hello, it has been a while...

When I looked over this message board, I saw some familiar names from the past as well as many new ones.  I have not been a member here for about 4 years, but prior to that was a fairly active member.  It will be 7 years since my surgery on 3/6/13.  A lot has happened since leaving OH in 2009.

The good news is I have not regained, the bad news is that does not prevent aging.

Moved from Addison, TX (for those in Houston who've never been to Dallas; DFW's wannabe Galleria area starter kit) to Melissa, TX, a small town just past the edge of suburbia north of McKinney where RaceTrac opening a gas station was the single largest economic development in the town's history and incidentally is the closest thing to a grocery store within 10 miles.

Closed a business I had started in my garage and built for 11 years before the economy became toxic.  Then spent 2 years in a "McJob", because when you're as OCD as I am, you have to go do SOMETHING, and when you have been your own boss for over a decade, folks are wary that you can function effectively having a supervisor, at least that is what was said in interviews.

Thankfully that has ended and I have recently started a job that I consider to be a calling as much as a job, which everything I have done is my life previously has been leading to.  My wife tells me that everything has a reason, but there is absolutely no assurance you are going to know what it is at the time it happens.

Getting that job reminded me of my days on OH, because both involve helping people with things that are difficult in life.  Guess training to do that in another area reminded me of times past doing something similar here.  Hopefully I will have something to share from time to time that will benefit someone.

Lost one of the other loves of my life, our 14 year old border collie Bessie, but our two year old border collie Breeze has been doing all she can to fill that void.

A couple of pictures are on the profile.

The hardest things in life are neither good or bad, but just what you have to deal with.

Hey Paul!

Welcome back! It's been waaay too long! Glad things are looking up in the job front and that your weight has been stable. I was actually thinking about you the other day when someone asked a complicated question about something (I don't remember what the question was or who was asking, I just thought to myself- "that's a Paul question!" lol)

Glad you're back!

Tracey
