Merry Christmas. Hope everyone has a good day planned with family or friends. We are opening gifts in a bit when Ben gets up, cooking waffles for breakfast and then y husband has to head back to Midland to work before the freezing weather hits. Ben and I are going to my sisters for a Mexican food lunch.

Did Christmas at Mom's last night.  Rather sedate affair with just the four of us but well within tolerances.  Jan is working.  Hope all the little miscreants, and staff, appreciate her labors to make their goodie bags.  Hanging around the house today watching the rain, waiting on the possible snow and ice and praying the cell phone stays quite since I'm on call today.   Otherwise the only things on my agenda are a load of clothes, walk on the treadmill and try and figure out my new I-pad.  Nice stocking stuffer indeed.

Tell hubby to honk when he goes through Colorado City for me.  That's if he goes through there on I-20.  One of the worst weeks of my life was in that town.  Have the scars to prove it.

Readers Digest version:  Too fat of an officer used to a Crown Victoria getting into a Chevy Impala with a space hogging video system hanging off the ceiling.  Not once but twice busted my head wide open enough to warrant trip to local ER.  Dermabond the first time - staples the second.  Left two nice parallel inch and half scars about an inch apart.  Took it as a hint that I was not supposed to be working there and left.

Merry Christmas, family !! This is our frist Christmas morning to just STAY HOME, and I'm liking it, so far...listening to the rain fall..lumped up in the recliner, with the chis..coffee in hand..Dr Phil on the TV..this could work for me...All my guys were back under our roof last night, but Chris had to sleep on the couch, since he took his bed, when he moved out..

We went to my sister's house last night...my nephew was late..his ex was there, waiting with their kids..you can guess who "had" to step up, grab the "adults"- both by the ears/haul them to the garage/remind them it's ABOUT the kids/and remind them we are NOT going to have baby-daddy-mama-drama-at Christmas....whew..GiGi's work is never done...my sister's kids put the FUN in dysFUNctional..I need my boys to hurry up and find their perfect wives, and have my perfect grandchildren, so we can have our perfect Christmases at my house...lol..

Today's plans include a laid back lunch, at Cracker Barrel-just us 4-with a hefty tip for whatever waitress we get who had to work today..
