weight gain after wls....
Your tool most likely still works. Consider incorporating exercise and cut out sugar. if by not tolerating protein, you mean it doesn't go down well, substitute a protein drink for a meal. It will take determination and hard work, but can be done. Many of us have gained some weight and taken off weight.
Good luck!

you are facing what a lot of us are afraid of. You ned to just buckle down and get back to basics. Try the 5 day pouch test to get decarbed and help you getting you old good habits back, the ones you had while loosing! You can do it, now it is a head game and you just need to get back to it!! Are you in a support group If not ,find one that meets regurally so you can have some accountability.

A very big head game!!! I have not found any support groups in my area. My surgeon has since retired and trying to get another surgeon to assist you is like pulling teeth! I finally was able to get an appointment with a nutritionist. When I had my surgery in 06, I did not have to do any therapy or go through any classes. So, I am in a sense lost at this point. Thanks for the info on the five day pouch test. Will try this.
The surgery is only a tool not a cure. Make sure your not eating more than what fits on a saucer and not eating high carbs high sugar foods.
I am on round two now, because after I out ate my first wls I had a revision to try again. I am determined that this time I will get the weight off and keep it off.
I envision filling a car with gas to the point the tank overflows and gas spills everywhere. Only I am the car and the gas is food. Sooner or later there will be a spark and it will be the end of me. Thus what ever I put in my mouth now I think, do I need this, am I hungry, is this the best choice? Do I want to be fat yet again?

Track every bite you put into your mouth and exercise. You can do it!!

I right there with you...had gastric bypass in 2007 and have gained 30 lbs back...i eat protein for breakfast, a protein drink for lunch...but when I get home I'm the incredible food monster...anything and everything...I also have stopped exercising. I go on vacation on Wednesday (in clothes that are toooo tight) and when I get back on 9/20 it's back to basic for me. I'm dusting off the treadmill and defrosting the chicken breasts...it's time to stop making excuses. Good luck to ALL OF US who are struggling with weight gain.
