Baylor Dallas or UTSW?

 Researching surgeons and facilities now, I am probably going to go with the RNY.

Anyone have an opinion of one over the other?

Hindsight being what is a question first.  Do you have insurance or will you be self pay?  If you have the insurance I'd say go with either.  If you are self pay go with the lower price facility.  I was a self pay and went to Baylor for Dr. Kuhn's services.  I can't speak to UTSW but there is no doubt in my mind I paid for some body's trip to ER the morning of my RNY.  I could have saved a few bucks with going a different route but Dr. Kuhn was recommended by my cardiologist at the time.

 My surgeon Dr. David Kim is AMAZING !!!  He has monthly support groups for all his patients and if you have issues such as gall bladder or hernia he will do the repairs himself if you wish him to do that.    He is also a very caring surgeon and person.   He throws a huge Christmas party each year and all of his patients are invited ( you have to see this on his facebook page ).   It's lots of fun and he's such a caring doctor.   I recommend him and whatever hospital he sends you too.   Good luck on your researching.
