I have lots of protein powder and some vitamins to get rid of - in San Antonio

Hello everyone, this is my first time discovering the Texas board. I had VSG last month and have found the protein shakes I made pre-op, I could not stand post-op, therefore I have 3 large tubs of powder. They are by Chike, I have them in chocolate, strawberry and orange. They are all about 2/3 full (if not more). Oh, I also have the chicken flavored powder by Unjury, which I only tried twice. I also have some vitamins that did not agree with me - strawberry flavored multivitamins by Bariatric Fusion and milk chocolate Viactiv (calcium chews). I've since found alternatives to all of these and they are just taking up space. Please let me know if anyone could use these, I live near the Alamo Ranch area.

Chike was my fav but made me sick after RNY.  However, my taste buds have calmed down and I am able to drink Chike again.  You may want to wait till your further out to see if you change too.   However, I don't use Chike as much as other powders since it has more calories being a meal replacement.  I'm presently using lower calorie plain proteins as a supplement and mix it in other things.

Thanks Barbara. I have since found an alternative, that I actually enjoy drinking. My biggest probably initially was the texture (I didn't like even ice cream shakes because of its consistency). I found a new drink (thanks to my nutritionist) that is just like drinking juice. I'm getting most of my protein in through food now, usually just need to supplement with one (two at the max) protein drinks.

Please share what your nutritionist suggested.  I still struggle with protein drinks.

They had a variety pack of these fruity drinks, they mix to a juice consistency. They are rebranded under different names since for some reason the company that sold them to the doctor's office does not sell directly to consumers. I love the cran-grape, it tastes just like diet cran-grape juice after adding a touch of equal or splenda. I am picky and did not care for many of the other flavors. Lemonade was okay, I also bought a box of orange ade, which was also just okay to me, but the cran-grape is my favorite. The drinks are about 70 calories, 15g protein and around 8-10 ounces depending on how much water you mix it with. I ordered them from protein shop so I'll give you the link there, they have a code for 20% off on their main page. I have found them on other sites but went with this one since they had that code, so I just bought a bunch of them. Anyway here is the link: http://www.proteinshop.com/bari-wise-protein-fruit-drinks.html

Before the nutritionist suggested them I had been putting some unflavored mix in with a bottle of crystal light.. it was tolerable but couldn't add much in without it tasting awful. She also suggested the Premier brand 'shakes.' I tried the chocolate, I'd tolerate it, it sort of tastes like chocolate milk - but unfortunately I'm not crazy about chocolate milk, lol. The pro to those however is that they have 30g protein in I think 11 ounces?
