TGIF, family! Storming like a big dog out there...may I PLEASE just crawl back under the covers??????

I "worked like a turk" this week (not that I REALLY know how hard a turk works, but it rhyms and sounds good)...I have a whole lot to to today...seems I've always worked harder when I LEAVE a job, than when I'm THERE. I just keep finding stuff to show people-stuff I forget I do. I just hate to leave loose ends, but no job is ever really "finished", in healthcare. Medicare stuff goes on long, long after the person is released to Heaven. I haven't even a chance to pack up my personal crap and my "priceless" Disney Princess and Mickey/Minnie stuff...gonna be a BUSY day !

Weekend plans include peep time on Saturday, and birthday party for friend's 8 yr old on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are "Gina days", to regroup, etc, before starting new job, on Wednesday...

Not too much else to report...I'm working on a "special post", for my 10 year surgiversary, but it's still just in my head..not on paper yet. So much has happened in the last decade..yet it's unbelievable that it has been so long..and that I did not know ANY of you 10 yrs ago..but that I cannot IMAGINE life without you now...

One of the dogs woke me up this morning cause he heard a little thunder but he is back to sleep, the other dog got a pill early and it is working.

Good support group meeting in Greenville last night and always enjoy dinner out with sisters afterwards.

Trying to doze back off before I start working  is all I have planned.

I was also woke up about 4 something with a HUGE clap of thunder.    UGH I laid in bed awake for over a hour then finally decided to get up and get some coffee and start moving.    I got a phone call last night from this very dear lady that I do her hair.    She is 90 and has moved assisted living places since I gave her a haircut last.    I had to do some research to find where she had moved to....she couldn't tell me how to get there.     I know I will really miss her when she passes away.   Her health is not so good anymore.    I just hope when the time comes and she passes that her family will let me know.     I've lost several elderly ladies and only found out that they had passed away when I called their family to see why they hadn't called me in sometime.    Oh well...so is life.    Jenna knows I love her and I know I will probably have to spend a hour or more with her visiting after I do her hair this afternoon.     My weekend is going to be somewhat busy.    Got things to do early in the morning so I'm going to try to go to bed at a decent hour tonight.    We'll see if that happens.   LOL    Had lunch with my son and DIL yesterday and it made me sick.   UGH hate it when something doesn't agree with my stomach.   I had BBQ and it was too greasy.   Good luck with packing you things away at work today Gina and hope you have a enjoyable last day at your job.   I know you will be a big hit at your new job.     I guess I need to go get another cup of coffee and start laundry.   Have a amazing day and great weekend everyone and please drive safe since it rained....streets will be slick.

Hey You Guys!

I lurk a lot but after I read I always have some fire to put out and never get to post. I guess its called job security.

Another crazy day about to begin. I have three ARDs that I need to dot i's and cross t's on so I can turn them in today. I need to see my lifeskills kids this morning, I missed them because I had a crazy ARD meeting yesterday that lasted way too long.

I have a meeting at admin at 11:30 this morning too. I refer to them as "admin beatings" instead of admin meetings. They truly are...ugh.

This afternoon Dirk has an appt with the surgical neurologist to check him out. He goes once a year to make sure all is right with a tumor they removed years ago. It was in his abdomen but it was situated on his spinal cord so a neuro surgeon was the chief dr. I plan on going with him to hear what the dr has to say. Afterwards we are getting something to eat and then going to Art Fest in DT FW.

Dirk had a pig processed last week and picked the meat up yesterday. I never spent any time with the pig and I told Dirk I didn't want to know ANYTHING. He keeps assuring me that its a completely different pig, I don't mind not knowing the truth....its better that way. Otherwise there would be hundreds of dollars of meat in our freezers that wouldn't be touched. I know that meat we raise and have processed is safer than anything we could ever buy at the store but the thought of eating something that used to be alive in OUR barn just weirds me out. yuck yuck yuck, sob sob sob. He wants to smoke a ham all weekend. We have a smoker at the house and at the lake house. I suggested we just go on down to the lake house...lol We'll end up going if I get my way. He'd rather stay around the house and do chores...  how fun is that?!? So after tonight we will either be doing chores or having fun at the lake for the rest of the weekend. One way or another, "Big Pig" err I mean HAM is on the menu.  

Congrats on TEN years GINA! Wow! Call me if you find some free time on Monday and Tuesday. I miss you and can't imagine life without you in it either!

BN went home to Conroe yesterday and with her and her dog gone - the man cave is q-u-i-e-t!  Have to eat my own cooking for a few days.

Can't wait to read your 10 year post, you inspire so many Gina.  Give me a call when you get time, I've been super busy and miss talking to you.  Just tried to read a few of your post on the new job situation, didn't know please share.

I'm beat, we had kid stuff all week long.  Baseball season is in full force, 3 nights of games this week along never home before 8:30.  My house looks like a hurricane hit it and my yard needs to be mowed BADLY.  Guess what my plans are this weekend!?

(((DANA))) !!!!! Was afraid you were mad at me-but couldn't remember what I might have done to cause it-was afraid maybe I had one of those brain farts again!!!  I think of you every morning, on that highway, and wonder about YOU, Conner, YOU, Cutter, YOU, baby Aiden, YOU..

No doubt your life is a whirlwind of activity. Enjoy it NOW-all too soon they will be so busy with girls, cars, their friends, etc..but still work in some time for MAMA...somewhere in there!

I'm so so late to get aboard today!!

But I have had a frustrating day!! Sorry but have to vent a minute. Had my 6 mth. follow up with Brittany post op & I'm doing great on the weight loss, already had put that here. Now had  one with my PCP & all my numbers look great except my Cholesterol, so back on meds for that I go
:( He thinks that its just hereditary, but I'm going to continue on doing what I need to. Still have 45 more lbs. to go!! On top of that I'm at the Dr.'s office & they tell me that our insurance has been terminated since April 8th. Aye Vey, I'm like "NO, My hubby still works for this company" So we had to speak to human resource, his last coverage date is May 6th. Still after everything I go to the pharmacy & they still have it as terminated insurance. I was so frustrated. So I have to wait until tomorrow, hopefully she's in the office. Or better yet, call Monday (sarcasm there) and wait until they resolve this issue. Jobs are so quick to take benefits away when someone quits!! Even though we've paid until next month. Anyhow...WOOOSSSAAA!!

I went to the DCCC to look into the LVN to RN bridge program & it went ok. They did approve alot of my classes but I might have to take the SCiences again...OHHH NOOO, I so do not like Chemistry..lol Next month I meet with the program directors to see if they will accept them. Let's pray they do.

Yeah & my back is still killing me!! Dr. says not to lift, I pulled a muscle. So I'm having my 2 year old help alot lol he's too cute!! 

Okay thats enough, I hope tomorrow will be better!!!

JOVI...(((HUGS))))...hang in there, girl! It DOES seem to all hit at the asme time-doesn't it????

I'm sure the insurance "dates" are clearly listed-in black and white-on your DH's exit paperwork at the job.. I completed my last "work day" yesterday, but I'm paying for insurance with the next check, and am covered thru the middle of May.

Congrats on following thru with the school plan! I know you're not going to let a lil Chemistry derail your dreams..you'll get a "study buddy"..maybe even your son..lol..and pass, with flying colors !! I think I have told you before that not going back to school is probably the only REAL regret I have in my life-that-and not having WLS available, to me, years before it was..
