We Can Do Hard Things

Morning! I hit snooze a few times this AM. I slept all yesterday afternoon and all night so I don't know what's up with that except that I wasn't feeling well. I had to go get Chris at noon because he also wasn't feeling well- tummy stuff. Hoping today is better.

I have a meeting from 1:30-3:30 that I dread each month- esp because its in Arlington and then I have to drive to a 5pm appt in Bedford so it will just be traffic city. But mainly its because I don't like the people I have to meet with once a month during this meeting.

Its funny- Chris and I were talking about his HS schedule and his strengths and how I thought he was really brave to just keep trying even if he's not successful the first time. Chris said- well your biggest talent is your ability to be nice to anyone, even if you don't like them. I had just been telling someone how I was dreading that appt and I got to thinking- well I guess I am nice to those people even though I don't like them. That was sweet of him to say.

Hope everyone has a great day today!

A-which route do you take from Arlington to Bedford? Collins (157) isn't near as difficult to get down, and is alot faster that time of day..at least you KNOW the traffic lights will change--you never know when the freeway traffic will move!

Our Chris IS the smartest/sweetest at saying things-isn't he???

Good morning all! ALISSA is probably starting the train right now too-if she does, I'll delete this one. I'm never sure of her travel schedule...

It felt good NOT having chocolate bunny eggs, etc talking to me yesterday. Not sure what "holiday" is next, but hope it SKIPS me!! I went way crazier than I EVER do. I can "blame" it on stress, if I CHOOSE to, but I still have to OWN it-and that's a whole lot harder to swallow than the chocolate! I planned and tracked, like a newbie, yesterday, and felt down right "rightous" !! I'll be 10 yrs out this month-hard to feel like a newbie anymore-but tracking every bite sure does help!

Work was pretty hectic, yesterday, after having been off for 3 days..yep--the work did NOT take a 3 day holiday-it just waited for me..crap...but I caught it up..Oh yea..and "long story/short"..I DID accept the the new job..plan to start toward the end of the month..many pros/cons..but the "pros" won...

Prayers all around-know there are many TMB family members in need of them-both spoken and unspoken.

Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday-wherever you are, and whatever  you are doing. Please take some time for YOU YOU YOU !!!

 Good morning

I am awake earlier than normal this morning, plan to go back to sleep for at least another hour.  Stressful day at work yesterday which is not good as I am a stress eater and like to snack.

Gina,  Congrats on the new job.

Going to try to get some more sleep before I start my day.

Gina, congrats on accepting the new gig!

New tile, minus the grout, looks gorgeous where they got a big chunk of it on the floor yesterday.  Have to begin breaking the master bedroom down as soon as I close my lap top.  Plan is to break it down and make it back up today with new carpet.  Did manage to walk yesterday.  Came a cross a very dead and flattened out snake in the road.  Baby Nurse went vertical when she saw it!  Told her not to hurt herself trying to get away from it since it could not hurt her.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE !

I learned this morning that with the management change (happened during my absence last week of March) here at work -   that means that the person moving - is moving her candy dish - out of my NORMAL WALK PATH !!        I still have to pass it several times a day - but I have to move another direction to actually reach it or get to it !!      NOT sure how she is going to affect me yet since I don't think that she knows anything about workers compensation muchless about what I do.......but my supv / team leader is actually in Houston and SHE doesn't report to this new lady anyway !!     I really wished I had an onsite team leader but oh well - we can't always have what we want - can we?    I love my team leader - don't get me wrong.........but I want my team leader to know what work I do and understand it and see it  and not being given information about me or my work 3rd handedly !!  Make sense??  I'm huge on customer service not only on the outside of the office but that includes co-workers  that I need to work with and hopefully make their jobs easier for them in anyway I can.  I strive for that everyday and I LOVE MY JOB !!

Not much going on in my world -   so hoping that we won't be having another tornado outbreak here in the metroplex anytime soon.  my body can't take 14 flights of stairs (I am on the elevator listing tho in the case of evacuations - its really embarrassing but the good thing is -  that I"M  NOT the only one needing assistance....  )

I gotta get -  I have a fire that blew up on my desk yesterday and I thought it was out yesterday - but it flamed up again this morning..........ugggggggggg   but its okay - happened while I was out on vacation last week and the week before.....  but it fell back on my back-ups which reflects our operations team process.......not good........:)

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY !
