Good morning, family!

I'm off work today..but..yep..I'm UP..crap..dang bio clock..and bio bladder...they picked TODAY to catch up to Daylights Savings Time...

I'm heading down to Austin, a little later. I had thought about going fairly early, but didn't get my "stuff" ready last night..and y'all know how I am about my "stuff"...Have a crappy headache too, and need to get it nipped in the bud, before I mesh with the other freeway idiots...I'm anxious to spent some "me time" with my lil brother, Danny. I haven't seen him since in over 6 months-WAY too long. He's one of my all time heroes. He held the WORLD Marine Marathon record for over 10 years. He has completed over 30 marathons-24 of those when he was an actively enlisted Marine. He's had health problems, in recent years, and has "been MY mojo" for MY training-teaching/encouraging from afar..He was able to do two 1/2 marathons this past year-nothing like he used to do-but he's still MY hero!

Other family will join us tomorrow-but TODAY is MINE MINE MINE !!!

What are your weekend/Easter plans?

Good Morning Gina, Karla and TMB Family.

Happy Good Friday to everyone.    Yesterday and today I have to get all the "junk" into the house for cooking our Easter meal.    Not 100% sure what I am making other than a ham.    We are going to be eating Easter lunch with my sisters family.    Last night I went to the Starbucks where my DIL works and took her a bag of things for my grand daughter for Easter ( OK now razzing here....I know she is still in the oven BUT she is ALIVE and growing ) LOL  She thought it was very sweet of me to think of that precious little one ( Like I'm thinking of anything else right now.   LOL ).    I get to go see my middle son again on the 26th so I am excited about that.   I was really down tuesday thinking of him not being with the family this weekend but then the  Teen Challenge guys got hold of me and have me OK with it now.     If ANYONE wants a HUGE blessing.....Azle Teen Challenge banquet is coming up May 24th at the Azle Community Center.     They have a catered meal,.....silent auction.......the Teen Challenge Men's Choir and many other things.   It is $20 and is totally tax deductable too.    Also if ANYONE needs any work done around their house....they charge $10 a hour and that ALSO Is 100% TAX DEDUCTABLE !!!!  They rely totally on donations and fundraisers to keep this VERY WORTHWHILE program to stay up and running.     SO please consider going to the banquet or when you need work done consider calling them and hiring someone from there to do the work for you.    BTW...they do a very good job.     Have a blessed day and Wonderful Easter Sunday and Good Friday today.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Today is my normal arthritis aqua aerobics day and afterwards is the monthly birthday lunch with my pool friends. We're having a baby shower for one of the ladies that comes to the pool regularly. Her husband is home from Iraq and will join us at the pool and then for lunch. I've got to go out early this morning and get her a gift. Yes - I'm a procrastinator! After lunch I'm going to the movies to see "Mirror, Mirror." After that, back home to take out the trash, mow the front yard, trim the bushes in front of the house, and work on cleaning up my front porch for spring/summer enjoyment.

Tomorrow I need to go out and buy myself a new outfit. One of the women from my old writing group has published two of her stories recently and the third will be out later this year. She is having a party at a winery in Joshua tomorrow night to celebrate and I'm going. Most of my clothes are pretty baggy now so something new is in order.

Sunday - my daughter is recovering from surgery and isn't up to hosting Easter festivities at her house this year. She just recently remarried and has a new home with a kitchen and stuff all her own and entertaining there has been a huge thing for her. I may pick up something prepared from the deli and take it to her house for her and my new family. I'm not sure what my new son-in-law's parents are planning. His side of the family isn't big on holiday celebrations.  I'll go with the flow. I love celebrating the holidays. If my daughter doesn't want to do anything, then I'll hang around the house and work on my carport, gutters, and flashing. Just lots of stuff needs to be done around here.

Not seeing this until Monday morning. Did you have fun at the winery? Was it at Lone Oak? I ask because I live in Joshua, and my nephew is getting married, at the winery, next month. The wedding is outdoors, but I'm thinking there is an indoors thing there for the reception??? It's a "tux" wedding, so it's pretty "fancy"..for us country folks!

Yes, it was at Lone Oak Winery in Burleson.  The indoors area is kind of small and appears to be mostly a sales type area.  They have some new areas recently built on that aren't furnished yet and appear to be mostly storage.  I think they are to be ultimately for indoor receptions.  The outdoor patio is large and nice and the rolling lawn is very large and nice too.  It was great to see some of my old friends and make some new ones too.  I'd rent the place out for some of my events but it is a bit far.  Most of my friends have moved east out to Talty or south to San Antonio and Austin.

Good Morning All,

It's 1/2 a day at work today for me, and I'm watching the clock. My entire family is in town for the holiday and I'm wishing I was home with them.

The weather is amazing here in Houston. The trees are green and the flowers are blooming, it's especially nice for some outdoor family time. -- Noon can't come FAST enough.

I always get a little anxious when I have lots of family in town. I plan to focus on family, laughter and our time together - rather than the food.

Have a great day.

First things first.  Breakfast with Jerry Springer.  Work this afternoon but I've got to get started moving stuff out of the house since I'm having the floor coverings replaced starting tomorrow.  Nineteen years, and a few dogs, is too long and too much for builder grade carpet.  Peel and stick tiles that replaced the original vinyl several years ago were a bad choice too.  Need to change the bulb in the garage door opener too.  Not too keen on walking into a dark garage.  Critters are crawling and among the last things I want to do in this world is step is step on a snake in the dark!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
