"Personal Word" for 2012

As many of you probably remember, PAIGE started this, on the TMB, a few years ago, and has meant alot to me. Each of us would pick a personal "power" word, to claim, for the new year..something, personal..individual to our life...for whatever reasons we chose the particular words...we could share those reasons or keep them private..sometimes I didn't even really know WHY I had chosen a particular word, until later in the year...

2010: My word was FREEDOM. I claimed FREEDOM from some chains that had been encumbering me, both personally and professionally, and I came out ahead of the game

2011: My word was SUCCESS: I was nearly 9 years out from my WLS, and had fiddled farted around, having never reached my "goal weight number". I had been close to it, and I had been far from far from it. It was a SUCCESS I was determined to reach..and I did, with the undying support of my  family..both blood, and chosen

2012: My word is FOCUS. I need FOCUS in many areas of my life-spiritual/mental/financial/health-just about all of them-spititual being FIRST-but the others pretty much in "equal" order. Without the spiritual being right, the others won't matter

My first year I bought a bracelet, and a charm, with my "word", on the charm, intending to add a charm, every year. I didn't get one in 2011. Looks like I'd better FOCUS and catch up for 2 years worth now!!!

Just went to the Main board to post my Motivational post and there was your beautiful smiling face there.   Great post.    I'm not 100 % sure why but when I read this the word Vision came to my mind.   I for one need to have a good vision of my past and future in this year.   A vision of all the successful things happening in my family,   my middle son's success through Teen Challenge, my future grandbaby's arrival in late July- early August ( due August 3rd ) hopefully me losing a few more pounds.    We ALL need a positive vision into our futures.   Thank you Paige for starting this and THANK YOU Gina for the reminder.    Have a blessed day.

VIVIAN..what a great word..VISION...I don't think I've ever seen anyone see that one before..I think it's perfect for you, in light of your family goings on...How does that saying go? "A baby's is God's way vision/way of saying the world should go on"...something like that...

My word is BELIEVE.  I need to believe in myself and things I do and feelings I feel.  I need to believe that I am good enough and deserve what I have. 

I think I'll talk to my counselor about my word and get her help with this, seems a little overwhelming.

Great word Jennifer ---- it's been my word for several years.  I even have it tattooed on my calf.  I've got so much stuff that says BELIEVE on it around my house, you'd think I'm fanatical about it!

JODIE-I thought about you, when JENNIFER posted her word, then thought about you again, a few minutes ago. A lady on the main board, asked me to pick her word for her. I picked INSPIRE, because this lady really does INSPIRE alot of people. SHe sent me a PM tonight, entitled "It's all your fault". I thought "WTH"...opened the PM..anf there was a pic of her with a new tat on her wrist..yep..with the word, INSPIRE...and here I am--thinking I'm all that for getting words put on a charm bracelet!

My word is going to be commitment. I have started several things and now I want to follow through with them. I want to remain committed even when I want to quit because it gets hard. So this year will be about my commitments and sticking to them.
