We Can Do Hard Things

Good morning, family! Yep, it's 03:00, and I'm up, stoking the train, and watching "Biography"-it's about Robin Williams --they keep saying "way way back then"-hey-I resemble that remark!!

How do you like our train? It's the Hooterville train (for those old enough to remember THAT!). I googled it this morning. It's how I always imagined our train, for some reason...good childhood memories, I guess..

I'll be sorry-later-that I got up so early, but, for now, I'm enjoying the solitude-just me, the chis-and Robin Williams! I'm kinda dreading all the crap/paperwork I left on my desk Friday afternoon, and know we had least one death over the weeknend (poor little guy, wth head/neck cancer-he was SO ready to be out of misery), so know will have a busy, busy day. No social plans, after work today, so may wind up working late. I can live in a messy house, but hate for my desk to get piled up and messy..go figure...

Continued prayers for SAUNDRA and her daddy, as he continue his health rehab/healing. Prayers for our JENN, as she heals, physically and otherwise, with the loss of her baby. Prayers for DANA and MEGGIE as they face the first Christmas without their beloved mom/dad. Those "firsts" are SO hard. EXTRA special prayers for ALL our family, both spoken and unspoken. I know I sure need and appreciate them!

Hope everyone has a MAH-VE-LOUS Monday!! Love y'all!!!!

Hooterville.  Remember it well.  Sam, Mr. Drucker the three lovely ladies.

Any of the "first"  after a passing are the pits!  and even some  could be expected.  As the saying goes "time heals all wounds".

Managed to get the majority of X-mas shopping yesterday so it is back to work today to pay for it all!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Good morning. I'm up and ready for a full day of work. I have a party for the women that work at the high school. They don't invite the men to this one.

Ben takes his last final today and will come home today or tomorrow. He had some packing to do to make sure he gets everything he needs back here for our trip to Cayman. At Thanksgiving he was down to an older good pair of tennis shoes with no laces for church. I reminded him to bring lots of stuff back home for the next month. It's moved a little at a time to the apartment.

Prayers for all who need them.

Have a good day.

Karla

 Morning Gina and TMB Family,

I thought that train looked familiar.   I never missed Petticoat Junction !!!  LOVED that show when I was a kid miny miny moons ago.    LOL    I had a really great weekend.    Went to church last night to see my son and most of the Teen Challenge guys in a Christmas Play.   My son played a wise man and a angel too in the play.    Then they had a pizza party ( thrown by the church ).    Lots of fun.   Tomorrow night I am off there again to say goodbye to one of the guys who will be graduating and going home.   PLEASE everyone keep these special young men ( and older ones too ) in your prayers as they return home and face the addictions.    I know that HAS to be extremely hard for them.    I have a eye appointment in a little bit to check my eye pressure since I was put on new medicine for it.    Prayers for Saundra's Dad and Jenn, Meggie and Dana and many others as the holidays and healing from bad things that life sometimes hands us is difficult to handle.    Love you guys.    Have a blessed day.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Good morning,

Work is on the agenda today and maybe a trip to the mall. I am only working today and Friday this week so hoping today goes fast and Tues - Thurs goes slow. I am looking for a red dress, I found one at JCP yesterday which I almost purchased but left coupon at home but then seen one online at Macy's so thought I would run up there and check it out before I decide.
When I was overweight I could never find anything in my size and still having the same problem.

I got a few gifts bought this weekend and tomorrow I hope to get the rest done but sense I have no clue what I am shopping for I don't have much hope.

Prayers for Meggie, Dana and Jenn.

Good Morning..

I didn't get to grow up with these shows - but saw them when I was teenger when we  moved to OKC.  I grew up with Captain Kangaroo, and believe it or not the Lawrence Welk show, Sonnie and Cher (which I really miss)  and was lucky we could see CBS ( We were about 2 hours from a town with a TV tower back then...lol  that was as close as "local" as we could get !!

Anyway -  today is Monday !!  I dont know if I should     OR    it !!
Got to work late so I really need to get going on my desk duties.
Lots of people out between now and Jan 2nd ish....parties, vacations, etc.............
Team leader is back in Houston this week - PMP is completed and I did okay - nothing GREAT and nothing bad either  - so all is good...
After having a major major major meltdown at work on Friday afternoon - I know its gonna be a GREAT Monday !!

Amanda good dinner last night and Joey and Amanda cleaned up with the kitchen.
She didn't empty the dishwasher like she told me she was going to do....but baby steps -  tiny tiny baby steps !!   lol

I heard from the "prince" a little last week and over the weekend -  we talk about 1x or 2x a week - thru texting - a bout our "girl" stuff mostly and life and work stuff......
employer drama stuff.........lol          its good..............

Hello everyone! This is my first time on the Express but I've been "lurking" for months so I feel like I know you guys!

I had my revision from Lap Band to RNY on 10-24-11 so I'm about 6 weeks out now! Things are going great!

Today: work consists of an assessment committee meeting and then I get time to work on daily stuff. I'm a university administrator and am looking forward to being on board!

BTW- what university are you at? Between myself and my kids there's a chance we might know you!

I have an AA from Tarrant County College and a BS and MS from Texas Woman's University. My son has an AA from Hill College and is working on his BA at UNT. My daughter is at Georgia Highlands, a division of the University of Georgia. (So you probably don't know her lol).
