Good morning, my TMB family!!

Of course, we all know what today is, and I struggled with whether or not to title the train "something special" today, and finally just called it "Sunday". 9/11 will always be a special day-as it SHOULD be-but it doesn't have to be all negative. It also brings out the POSITIVE in people. ABC is showing some positive stuff-like the one tree that lived, and is still part of ground Zero now...how parts of the original steel is part of hundreds of memorials around the country...I'm waiting for the various "hero" stories-besides the police/firefighters-that's what I like-how "regular" peeps-like us-looked out for each other-saved each other's lives. Probably none of us will ever be the SAME after 9/11-hopefully we will be BETTER...

Not much on my agenda today-may not even leave the house-will probably get myself very depressed, watching TV, thenwill make myself turn it off, and watch something "light"-like my new DVD set of the 5th season of "Dexter"..lol..love me some "Dexter" !!

Am uber anxious to hear how the conference went-hope VIVIAN and KARLA are ready to share!!

Prayers and (((HUGS))) all around our TMB family, and all its extended members

 Hi Gina,

It was much smaller than any of the other 4 conferences I have attended and it was really strange going in and not knowing most of the people attending also.   BUT it was a good conference anyway.    There was a really AWESOME bariatric surgeon there that spoke in a break out about regain.    Chef Dave was great as usual and it was really nice to finally meet Sarah ( Saralishious ) she has been on the boards much longer than I have but I bet you know who she is also Gina.    Bo was there as usual doing his motivational dances and I met some really awesome people too.    It was alot of fun.     Burban Street was....lets just say WAY more that I thought it would be and it had done a 110% change since I was there 29 yrs. ago.    It was fun though.    Brought lots of Mardi Gras beads home I picked up off Burban St. where  people throw them from balconys.    You can see just about anything you can imagine there.   LOL   Almost too much.    Hopefully next year they will come back to Texas with one.    I gotta go to bed.   I am exhausted.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

No Gina.....I picked them up off the street ( everyone was just walking over them ).   I did ask one guy on the balcony for some and someone said you had to show him some skin.    LOL   I told him the skin he was seeing was ALL  the skin he would see.   He threw me some beads anyway.   LOL

As somebody who works in the public safety field 9-11 has special meaning to me. As fate would have it my ex-wife and I were in Las Vegas several months later when the Fireman's Union, sorry can't recall the exact name, were having their annual meeting. Outside of the New York New York casino is a mock up of a fire boat at the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. On the fence surrounding the mock up were literally thousands of t-shirts and uniform shirts from all the different fire and police departments that had been placed there.  Very moving.

Not much on the agenda today.  Think today will be one of those days where I'll be doing good to even put on clothes I can be seen in public in.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

DON-I have had the privilege of seeing 2 of the "traveling museums" of NY 9/11 "artifacts"-sp-have not seen the shirts-no doubt that was very moving-esp doing what YOU do every day. Thank you for sharing your memory.

Thanks Gina and "thank you" for what you do in your line of work also.  It can't be easy to getting to know somebody and their family knowing what the outcome will be.

Good morning,

I am up watching 9/11 memorial special on TV, I will never forgot that day 10 years ago.

Had a good day yesterday, ordered me a new burner and picked up some scents from the scentsy open house than went to the movies and dinner with sister.

Going to the special memorial service at church then will probably take the dogs to the dog park, do some grocery shopping and end the day watching the Cowboys.

Have a great day!

I refused to watch all the shows on today. I felt the better way to remember the people who lost their lives due to the terrorists or via fighting the terrorists - deserved a more positive response. I spent the day w/ my youngest son and our grandbaby - at the park and then eating dinner. And remember how blessed we are to live in the US.
I think this type of choice actually shows that they will not defeat us. That we will continue to live our lives as strong, loving, people.
