All Aboard !!

Good morning, my TMB peeps! Small scattering of rain yesterday-just enough to make a lil mud on the car-and make the road idiots go nuts (more nuts than usual)-I put my "Eat It Up" CDs in and and did alot of deep breathing, and got to work without going to jail..considered that a GOOD DAY!! 

I went a whole day yesterday, without deviating from my "food plan"--hey-a day is longer than I've managed to go in a long time! I'll take it as a victory! Today will be Day 2! I might even work in some exercise..lol

SO good to see our Tx cheerleader, SUSAN, back on board-have missed her so much!! She is such an inspiration-and just a truly NICE person!!

Am watching the news-so much heartache, in light of the recent Hurricane Irene/aftermath...floods/fires/deaths...what's especially sad, to me, is that in less than a week, it will all be OFF the news, yet the people will still be hurting and homeless. I've been following some of the OH peeps we know, mostly via FB, and they are having  terrible time-much as our coastal families had during Hurricane Ike, a few years back-but they are very ill equipped for such weather (as DON mentioned a few days ago)--extra special prayers for Northern/East coast friends/family 

Okay-time to get cleaned and spackled--hope everyone has a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!! Love Y'all!!

Good morning! Thanks for getting us started Gina. I just can't seem to get up early enough these days. I was wide awake at 3am-guess I could have started the train then- but then I dozed back off. That was a mistake because now I'm sleepy. I should have just stayed awake.

I was jus****ching pictures of the flooding from Irene-just awful. I'm so thankful that my folks in PA didn't get anything more than a little water in their basement and a backyard full of branches and leaves.

Today is our August birthday celebration as well as a farewell luncheon for my assistant, who is leaving. Today I'm going to go through the applications with our admin assistant to see which ones we want to interview. Should be interesting.

Good morning Gina and TMBer's. Just another super busy day at the school for me. I'm making a littleprogress on scheduling things, so that is good. The days fly by. I'm now eating lunch in the lounge this year and I'm really enjoying the group we have. Yesterday we were laughing so loud that I'm surprised no one from the office came to tell us to be quiet...guess they were on lunch duty in the cafeteria.

Too bad I'm not in FW Alissa. I could retire and become your Asst. I would love that. It's the kind of job I would like to find. I've found with the applications going through the Internet and Austin it is hard to get noticed around here. Too bad you don't get to apply locally. I figure they just don't know what they are missing!

I am up really early today.    Not sure why.   I guess I am a little excited because I am going to get to see my middle son tonight.    I am going to try to make youngest son go to the doctor this AM.   He informed me last night that his tonsils have been swollen and hurting for a month.   UGH Why don't adult children tell you these things !!!   He said that they have never really gone all the way down since he had mono almost 2 yrs. ago.    He needs to get it seen about NOW since he has less than a month till he starts to college ( private college....I know it is starting really late ).    I baked 6 dozen chocolate chip cookies ( from scratch ) for the Teen Challenge men for tonight when I go visit my son.   I know he is excited about the cookies.    LOL   Not alot going on in my side of the world right now.   I have to be in Colleyville at 7:30 to get damage accessed to one of our trucks from a 4 car pile up that happened in June ( one of the insurance co. drug their feet about paying us....in fact didn't want to pay but I wouldn't let it go since my son was sitting still and wa****  2 times ).    Hope they can repair the truck soon.    Have a great day.   Prayers for everyone in need and especially Debbie Tanks family and her Momma.

Hello fellow riders!

Looks like my fur child is having another bad pouch day.  Have had to clean up after her a few times this morning.  This too shall pass.

Had such a good day at work yesterday that I'm going back again today!   Folks had gotten a lot done so it helped my mood yesterday and restored a little bit of my faith in humanity.  Got signed up for a school I have to have after Oct. 1 when I go full-time and get "doggy detail" added to my job description.  I even got to use my windshield wipers, two or three sweeps, yesterday!!

I am alive and well.  Closing got started later than appt time (3pm) yesterday, so I was not able to start moving stuff into it last night.  Didnt leave the attorneys office until 445pm, and the leasing offie closed at 530pm.  Sorry, but I just couldnt sign the lease before the closing.  With the way that I have been feeling lately, it would have been my luck that if I had, something 'funky' would have happened at closing, and then I would have been stuck wtih a mortgage payment and a lease payment.  Now, that would have been a financial disaster.

My friend did come over yesterday, and got everything all packed up except for my bedroom & bathroom.  One thing for sure I will need to be doing there once I get there...laundry!!!  I have been without a washer/dryer since last weekend, and the basket is overflowing.  Movers are to be here today...not sure if it is a morning or afternoon move, so I better get going.  Hopefully this saga will be over soon.  I sure do hope so!!!

We got a little rain here yesterday and the temps were much cooler which was since I had to get out to go to the doctor yesterday.   The heat has made pool maintenance a challenge this year.  We pay a chemical company to maintain it but  when we got back from vacation we came on to a GREEN pool and have been fighting algae since, I know it's the heat but felt like it should have never gotten that bad but this morning the pool is looking good should be sparkling by the weekend.  
 

Work is what is on the agenda today.

Good Morning TMB!

Not much happening in Waco.  Just doing my usual - cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.  Trying to make good choices with my eating today.  Last night was a bust, but today is a new day with all new choices.  Right?  :)
