Update on my Job news

We finally had our "team meeting" today at 2pm - we had alot of questions that I don't think my team leader was prepared to answer !!      They "tabeled alot of ideas of "restructuring" of tasks nationwide and I don't think that  they have an exact answer to all of that yet -

With that having been said - basically  she said  " What you are doing today, probably will NOT be what you are doing "tomorrow".........except for the DWC desk"  - thats my desk -  she said no one whats that task !!!   I've had it for 6 yrs and I LOVE IT !!

We did have 8 people laid off this morning nationwide.....1 here, 1 there and 2 here and there....
And 8 others were laid off about 2 weeks ago.............so far - until they figure more out - they don't know where the head count will shuffle and how it will shuffle.

We know that the customer service phones - are being piloted and transferred to Manilla Phillipines effective 7-25-11 and I would imagine 30 days to 90 days - they should know what kind of volume will be kicked back to us thru transfers to take care of of "timed out " from waiting in que too long (3:00) they will automatically be sent back to the office that the caller dialed..

Anyway - I guess that is GREAT news for me !!
My past team leader (now our claims manager) told me 3 yrs ago when she turned over her reigns to my current team leader said that I had  "raised the bar on this desk" so high - that their expectations continue to rise and I continue to meet those needs....

Thank you everyone for your concerns during this time...
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

I take it that this is Job #1...no matter what, Congratulations on 'raising that bar' so much that no one else wants it!!!  Hopefully they are rewarding that 'bar' with at least some monetary consideration.

Wow...congrats on raising the bar...and keeping your job!  Times are getting scary and you never know what direction company's are going now-a-days.  We seems to be going through 2yr cycles...the thining of the ranks, but almost expect it to be a yearly thing at any given time.  I'm down to 32months till retirement, just trying to hang on!  Just keep on doing what you're doing!
