Need a PCP in Houston

Hi all!

I have not been happy with my PCP.  He really doesn't understand WLS although he is the one *****commended I get it done, he refuses to do the right labs.  I have provided him with a list from here and he reads it thoughfully and then crosses off everything that isn't what he normally runs for people and that is all I get.   I have since gone to get the labs done through my surgeon and NUT, which is great, but I still need a regular PCP for everything else that understands WLS.

I have an appointment today with random Dr. at Kelsey because I need to be seen, but if I get a better suggestion here, I can cancel and go elsewhere.

I am very happy with Dr. Adam Weinstien.  He understands our unique anatomy and runs a lot more labs than Dr. Garth Davis, which is why I use him for follow-up instead of Dr. Garth (and his office does not lose my labs!).

Oh good!! I was looking for a "bariatric friendly" doc too and I was tired of going to Kelsey-seybold for everything. Thanks ladies!

I dont know if this will help any but I have been going to the same PCP with Kelsey since I moved from a pediatrician to an "adult" doctor.

I actually started my process through NeWeigh. They sent me for all the labs and tests then all I needed from my PCP was a clearance for surgery at which time he performed and EKG and a chest xray.

NeWeigh really handles the whole thing.

I am now 5 days post-op and only started the process in Feb.
