Dana was so inspiring to me when I first had my surgery. She was always sharing advice and encouraging to newbies on the board. Thanks Dana!
Today is the last regular school day for most employees. I work a longer contract so still have almost 2 weeks left. We have a gathering this morning and then get to leave around noon. Yeah!
Prayers for all who need them this morning.
Have a great Friday!

Let me ell Yall about Tammy Beaumont!
She was the Bariatric Cordinator at Arlington Memorial Hospiat. After messing up myself, and being dicked around by another Dr and his lousy staff and his own personal issues I was floundering not knowing what to do. Then my friend Trish hooked me with Tammy. Being a bariatric patient herself she's been there done that, and a nurse so she knows her ****!! She worked with me , guided me, helped me get approval! Held my hand when I cried, was honest when I did something stupid, applauded at my success, answered my question, was there for all my emergencies, and I had them, even after she had left and moved to another hospital.
So lets send out some love love and thanks for Tammy!!

Hmmm....this is a tough one....
When I was pre-op, none of YOU were born yet...my OH support friends were from all over the US...CROW was in Va, JIM, PATTI and MARY were in Ohio, and DEB was in Ks. We "met" in OH Chat EVERY morning. I never would have made it without them. CROW and PATTI have gone on to Heaven now. I still FB with the others. Deb is the only one I've gotten to meet IRL-we made up our minds to just DO IT after Patti died. I did get to meet Crow a few times-starting at the first Tx OH convention-in 2004-where I first met YVONNE-my first TEXAS friend!
A few years back OH started the state message boards. My chat buds encoraged to "advertise" for an exercise buddy. I was scared to death, but I got out of my comfort zone and DID IT--which led me to TRACEY. As they say..the rest is history...Without HER, I would not have gone to the Ft Worth support group, participated in the TMB, lost my regain, met/fell in love with all of YOU...yadda...yadda..yadda
I also need a special shout out to KARLA for her accountability thread, that helps me more than I think she realizes.

Ugh, well was woken up at 1:30 am by someone beating on neighbors door. So I am still kinda out of it, but it is Friday andddd today is my first Jean day at work since we moved to the new building. Now I have jeans I know will fit, but wondering about those that were iffy. Might have to try a pair, but will not be uncomfy cause lil Gnomey has a mind of her own these past couple of days.
Honestly, you all have been a huge help to me. Especially when I was in that stall, and you have all been through this and know what is going on. I have since broken the stall, actually lost another pound this morning :), it is slow, but at least it is going in the correct direction.
Tomorrow morning I will walk a 5K my bf and I mapped out, for my WW meeting, then I get to go into the office with him for a bit, then I am resting this weekend.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Shawn
All the love and support here on the TMB has been great - behind the scenes too with several kick in the butt and I needed them all !! STILL DO TOO !!
- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.

If I had to pick just ONE person... It would be Teena Adler. I found OH when I was having so many problems. I did a search on reversal surgery, and found a post on OH. I was posting about my problems. I talked to Teena a few times.
I really started talking to her when I met her at the OH conference in Dallas. I think that I blew several people for a loop when they actually SAW how bad my health had gotten. I had sat down and talked to Dr Dirk Rodriguez about everything I had gone through. He told me that he would surgically help me, but wasn't sure if he would reverse my surgery or do something else. She kept stedily pushing for me to go see Dr Provost. She personally WALKED me to Dr P's table set up at the conferene. I talked to his staff and explained what was going on. They gave me their business card and a couple weeks later, I went for my first appointment.
Not only did Teena get me to go see Dr Provost, she talked me through a lot. She gave me A LOT of advice. I was going through a lot of personal issues that weren't helping my physical/mental state. She offered to take me to my doctor appointments when my husband wouldn't. She offered to go to the hospital with me, and she CHEWED me out when she found out that I didn't call her after being "dumped off" at the hospital.
She was the first person from OH there to offer support and encouragement, but SEVERAL others stick out.
You, Kim G, Dana, Vivian, George T, Yvonne, Corina B, Sandi B, Phyllis, and Tara are the ones just off the top of my head.
You guys are like family. I love ya'll.
-Kim
