OT: Cruise question
Gina....I know when we went on our cruise 3 yrs. ago we parked at a pretty reasonable place....it claims to be the highest of the parking lots for cruise parking. I believe it was about 6 a day...maybe more. I will look the information up if you want it and send you the website. I know they bussed us to the cruise docks.

Oh...the food! If you go to the Plaza area look for Cafe Denis, a little hole in the wall with cafe tables on the Plaza and Mama cooking in the back room....delicious! My favorite local place is El Moro off 75th street. It's not as 'local' as it used to be but still one of the islands best. Be prepared to go WAY off the main drag. Our first trip there, we were sure we were being hijacked! All the taxi's can get you there. Oh another tip about taxi's....they charge you more when they pick you up at the cruise pier.
If you're looking for something to remind you of home, or for a quick taste of New orleans, go to The French Quarter....Local Mexican fare with a cajun twist, most excellent!
Earnesto's is one of my all time favorites but I'm not sure they rebuilt it again after the last storm.
Link to some of these place and more....gocozumel.com/restaurants/ The cruise pier is way south of town, about 2 miles. But if you want to get a true feel of the island it's well worth the cab fare.
Can ya'll tell we've always enjoyed the food as well as the diving on Cozumel? And I'm a big fan of getting off the main drag and getting to know the real island, away from the touristy crap...but to each their own!
