Positive story
Ok something positive, and I do not talk much about my first WLS because well I felt a failure at it.
My highest weight in January of 2001 was 375. By the time I had my VBG, I was 369. After that, I essentially lost almost 100 pounds, my lowest has been 275. I am now at 287, and I mean first I would love to see 250 then 199, but ya know I look at pictures of me at 375, and now, and say OMG, I look wonderful.

My positive is I feel fantastic! In January 09 I weighed 353lbs, lost to 292lb at time of surgery in Sept. 09 and this morning I weighed 204...yes, I gained a few ounces...blasted cereal and almonds! LOL! I've gone from 3X-4X shirts and 28-30 pants to L-XL ladies shirts and size 14-16 pants.
I am anxious to get to Onderland but ya know what? If i stopped right now I would take it!

Dee you are so close...the day you hit ONEDERLAND I want to see a big seperate post. What a great job you've done. Funny thing is I was just like you-when I started I dreamed of the day I'd wear a 14-16 and not have to shop in the "fat girl's dept". Well I blew thru those sizes and was amazed when I hit 12's, then 10's and even a few 8's. I'll never be a size 6 but heck-for 55 years old I look damn HOT!!

Hmmmmm! My positive!
I started my journey at 252lbs. My lowest weight (so far) was 141ish; then, like Viv said...Stress happened lost my job and was stuck 1000 miles away from home. I've put about 10-12lbs back on in the last 4 months BUT on to the positive:
1. I'm moving back to TX this weekend...YAHOO!!
2. I have met some of the "bestest" folks in my life here on the TMB and I am so proud to call them not only friends, but my chosen, extended family.
3. I have the tool to get those 10-12lbs back off and then the last 6-8 more that I have planned to get off.
I'm still wearing 6-8 pants, but the 6's are getting a little uncomfortable. I still wear a large in a top sometimes, so I always have to try them on. Before I would just buy a 2-3X or a 22/24 and they would always fit, same with pants. I'm not too worried about the extra pounds I have put back on, because I know why and I know that I can work my tool. I love my new life (for the most part and that will change in a few days) and am only sorry that I didn't do it sooner. It's my ONLY regret!!!

You all can understand this, usually when asked about a goal, eh I am not good with weights and sizes, but I said I would be happy to go to Wal-Mart and buy clothes on the 3 dollar rack, because we all know there is not any plus size clothes that cheap at Wally World, or just shop in the mall at regular stores, not plus-sized.
Thanks everyone for posting great successes! Great idea Stephanie! Very inspirational to see successes.
My positive is I'm 4 weeks out, haven't felt sick once (which apparently is unusual from what I read on the boards), I'm no longer in pain, I'm losing weight and I'm able to get back in the gym and hang in there for a full hour of cardio (although it is much harder than 4 weeks ago!) Even contemplating going to yoga on Thursday night....we'll see :0) not sure if bending that much is a great idea, but feeling so confident I just might try it!!!
