Can anyone help a Texas WL sister?

Julie H...Jewel506..will be haing her surgery Wed. with Dr Stewart at N Texas across from Denton Medical. She will be in Denton alone. Is there anyone who might take her to the hospital and stay for her surgery...or at least till she goes into the OR? This would mean so much to her...me too cause as her angel I was gonna make the trip to Denton until my DH showed up on vacation the other day. Talk about bad timing. If any of you are feeling generous and so inclined drop me a PM and I will hook the 2 of ya up..

What time? I can go early and be with her, go drop my daughter off at school in the morning, and then hang with her when she gets out of surgery for a bit until my husband goes to work. Let me know some details (surgery time, how long surgery is, etc) then I can see what I can do cause I'd be glad to help!

 I can do it.  I'm lucky enough not to be working now so I have plenty of time.  I just live about 35 mins away.  Jenny, would you like some company?

Sure! Unless you want to double our effort and I'll take the morning shift, and you can take the afternoon shift so she has company for a good chunk of her day? Unfortunately I have to get out of there after she goes in for surgery and then again around 12:30 to take/pick up my daughter from school and then get ready for her little graduation later that day. I feel bad leaving her there with nobody to keep her company in the afternoon. Would you be available for her in the afternoon for a couple hours instead? 

 

 I'm available all day. Do you know the details yet?  I can easily pick her up and take her to the hospital so that you aren't rushed.  

We planned on me picking her up at quarter to 6 and bring her to the hospital and stay with her until she goes into surgery (around 7:30). I'm then going to leave and take care of my girl and then come back around 10 and wait for updates from the doctor so I can call anyone Julie wants me to call. If you want to get there anytime in the morning, the more the merrier! I was going to watch her bag for her until she gets her room. Since we already have a plan in place for first thing in the morning, I don't think you need to come get her. I really don't mind and I'm only 10 minutes away.

Yall are just absolutely wonderful!!! I'm on the phone with Julie now and she says "thank you so very much". She is soooo ready for this. Yall make sure to call me as soon as Dr S talks to ya.

Hey Brooke! I sent you a text and left a VM for you this morning but I'll give you some details here.

She's at North Texas Hospital directly across from Denton Regional on Mayhill Rd. She just went in for surgery at 7:30 and should be out by 10:30 (I hope to be back there by 10ish). I will call her daughter and Darlene with an update when I get word. I suggest just sticking around home until early afternoon because she won't be out of recovery and in her room until probably 12 anyway.
