Next Rangers game - I need your input

I have found a few options.  It will be either July or August.  I am wondering how many would be interested in a Friday night game.  I can get the $25 seats for just $10, plus they are all Fireworks nights.  The kids will be out of school.  The seats we had today would provide a pretty good view for the fireworks.  (Just so ya know, Mary and I will not stay for the fireworks, but don't let that effect your decision.  We go to all the Friday games, just don't stay for fireworks due to Mary's accident with fireworks 40+ years ago).  The Sunday games would be $15 each.

Friday, July 2nd, vs Chicago White Sox.  Nice way to start off your fireworks weekend.

Friday July 9th vs the Baltimore Orioles.

Sunday July 11 vs the Orioles.  Also an All Star Tee Shirt giveaway.

Friday July 23rd vs the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  Beisdes the Fireworks, Chatter bat giveaway (irritating noise makers, LOL).

Sunday July 25th vs the Angels, nothing special otherwise

Friday August 27th vs the Oakland A's.

Sunday August 29th vs the A's.  Chest protector backpack giveaway for 13 and under.

Just let me know what dates you would be interested in.  I thought the Fridays might be nice, with the fireworks and the kids being out of school.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George, just to let you know, there will be about 50 of us TMB'ers attending a party the weekend of July 23-25 so we won't be available for either of those games.  Any of the others would probably work for us.

Do we even HAVE 50 TMBers anymore?

Speaking of parties, whatever happened to our regular TMB dinner thing at Mercado Juarez?       Come to think of it, I haven't even seen Miss Charlene post in ages ..     Anyone know how she's doing these days?

PAUL-I will answer your questions only because I believe you sincerely care about CHARLENE. She recently lost her mother, an is still in great pain/grieving. She is in no shape to be planning parties.

To answer your other question..and I do hope you were just being sarcastic..YES..we do still have 50+ TMBers..and some of us are very close and caring. Many of us are getting together on July 24th..my birthday..and there is no finer group of people I'd rather spend my day/life with. If you would ever actually ATTEND a diner instead of always chickening out with last minute car/job EXCUSES, you might possiblity get to KNOW then as I do. I know you HAVE attended events...but you don't INTERACT enough...I've TRIED to talk to you, myself. You don't make it easy.

I'm not a baseball fan myself, but I think you should take GEORGE up on his generous offer and attend one of the games he organizes. Everyone always seems to have a real good time.

What about the November OH conference in Houston? Have you registered yet?

Hi Gina,

Thanks for catching me up ..   I had not heard about Charlene's mom ..  My condolences to Miss C. on her loss ..

I've not been on hardly at all the last few weeks.  My law "partner" pretty much suddenly shut me out of the firm 3 weeks ago.   No real explanation given  --  I showed up at the office to see a locksmith changing all the locks on the doors.        Since then, things have been a bit more amicable w. the ex-partner, and I'm starting up my own office locally at a great location.  He's giving me some "start up" furniture and a few files to take with me.   I'm hoping this is for the best and is what is meant to be, I can only hope and pray.  It has been a lot of stress on me, on top of my 50 lb. regain and all.

Yes, the Ranger game sounds great, but, like someone mentioned, in July & August it will be SO hot and humid, although the temp. shouldn't be quite as bad at night.  I would need to ride with someone if I go, as I have never been to the Ballpark and am not familiar with that area of the Metroplex at all.

I still need to register for the Nov. event.  Hopefully things will be rolling smoothly enough at my new office that I can relax and take the time off to attend it.

I have always had a great time going to the games.  I really appreciate all the effort you put into getting us the seats.  It is fun.  Yesterday both the kiddos were there and it was very special.

BUT, I guess I am a fair weather fan.  The heat just gets to me.  Ihe thought of June-August games just scares the fire out of me....Sorry.

I understand completely.  That was another reason for a Friday night game.
