Prayer Request for Kim G
Kim called me yesterday and told me that she pulled a muscle. She asked me where a good hospital was for a pulled muscle. I told her to go to Baylor Garland because they are close, and will give good meds LOL.
She text me last night. She went to Baylor Garland and they ran tests... She was transported to Baylor Plano where her WLS was and he did emergancy surgery on her. It turns out that her bowels were twisted around scar tissue.
When I talked to her last night, she said that she was fixing to stop the morpine, and go onto liquid lortab, but would be going home today. I just talked to her. She said that she feels terrible. They just did an EGD and she has a cloudy bowel. It was turning blue and dying from being wrapped around, but the GI thinks that with Dr Nick unwrapping it, it will heal up on its own. She is back on the Morphine, and will not be going home today.
Sorry it took me so long to post, but I didn't want to say anything until she said that it was okay to. She did post on facebook last night though.

They ARE releasing me today, thank goodness. I'm feeling better now, I just had a reaction to the liquid lortab, and was out of it from the second round of amnesia.
But please, may I warn all of you to NEVER go to Baylor Garland. They thought there was nothing wrong with me, but called my surgeon to let me know they were discharging me. My surgeon wanted to see me to check it out for himself, and did advise them he thought it could possibly be an internal hernia, just from the symptoms. He did tell them he would be operating on me. The ER doctor didn't even have the decency to forewarn me... Just said Dr. Nick would be examining me and sending me along on my merry way. This is what makes me grateful that I have intelligent doctors...

Kim....so glad that you are doing better and going home. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself and I am so glad that you changed hospitals.
