WOOOOOHOOOO for Wednesday! I woke up got dressed, went out to my car and had a flat tire.... so I'm working from home today, LOL I say knock on wood sometimes, but don't really mean it. I don't think I have any superstitions that I take seriously...
Prayers are going up for all that need them!

I was unloading and loading the dishwasher this morning and I knocked over the salt. I quickly took some and threw it over my left shoulder. That got me to thinking- do other people do this? I also cross my fingers and knock on wood.
Its the 3rd Wed of the month. That means 2 1/2 hours of conference calls because I'm exhibits co-chair for our upcoming statewide conference in October. I'm excited about the conference and I like doing the work for the committee because I am very organized, but the conference calls... ugh. I don't like sitting still that long. Plus there is this one girl that has an opinion on EVERYTHING. I guess I'm glad we don't do these meetings in person because I would def have to control my eye rolling and sighs!
Day 1 of eating heathier and trying to start back losing weight went okay. Here's hoping day 2 goes just as well!

Who woulda thunk it, but my superstitions mostly involve baseball. One in particular. I wear the same clothes (including my baseball boxers - TMI?) to Friday night Ranger games. Always. I have been to three Friday night games this year and they have won all three. I'm just sayin'.

Let's see, I'm not as superstitious as Bill is or at least he used to be, I guess we kind of grew out of some of it. Used to if a black cat ran across the road, we would all roll the window down and spit once for every person in the car! I laugh now looking back on that. I also say knock on wood, but I'm not serious about it. Sometimes I throw salt ovver my shoulder if I spill some, but I guess I don't use a particular side! LOL
Had my EGD yesterday. Said I had some esophageal erosions that he biopsied. Should get those results early next week. I feel really swollen and restricted today. Could barely eat yesterday and am sipping liquids this morning. Just feels like everything that goes in is getting stuck, like abrick is lodged in my chest. I took my Zegrid this morning an dit felt like it took 10 minutes to go down. Ugghhh, not a feeling I like! Plus I have lost about 8 pounds since last Thursday. i wanted to lose some, but not really like this!! He is looking at the biopsies for any Eosinophilic Esophagitis....gotta look that up, may not want to. He did balloon the bottom portion of the Anastomoasis where the intestines is hooked up to teh pouch. There were no leaks or tears there. I didn't think there was since I tried to explain that it feels like stuff is getting stuck as soon as I swallow, not after it gets in there!
Well, I am making up time that I was out so I need to get cracking. Got here at 6:00 and will work til 4:30 or 5:00 with a short lunch!
Latest update on JJ is that he is recovering nicely! God is great!

I don't know if you call it superstitious but I pay attention to 'omens'. If things start happening...flat tires, wardrobe malfunctions, etc. I step back and reconsider the plans for the day, maybe change any that can be changed or just do something completely different! Luckily I work from home so my days are very flexible.

Not that I am superstitious, but on my Mom's side of the family, there are some bad omens.
One is...there were a total of 10 children in the family, and my aunts & uncles did not die in birth order...BUT if you missed going to a funeral, the next person to die would be you.
Second is...my Mom is one of 4 girls...my 3 aunts were divorced during their life, and they did not have any children. My Mom has two daughters....therefore, if you get a divorce, then you will not have children. Well, that was very heavy on my mind when I was getting my divorce, and guess what...I did not have any children.
Those are all my bad omens, but that is enough.
