WOOOOOHOOOO for Thursday!  I'm sorely tempted today, I want to play hookie and get in trouble....  I want to take tomorrow off from work too, but I did that last week.... LOL  I'm already at work, so the playing hookie part is already resisted.... now to just keep my resolve to not take off tomorrow... although I do have the time coming to me.... geez my resistance is weakening, soon it will be futile...

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

I want to play hookie too!!!  Don finally made it here this morning about 1:00 am (local time), and was a very tired puppy.  I dont think he wants to get back in his car at all today.  He told me this morning that he didnt sleep good last night, because he felt that he was still driving...I was afraid that would happen.  We are going out to dinner tonight to one of our favorite restaurants...and get steamed seafood (shrimp, lobster and crab legs).  Afterwards we will come home and walk.

Good morning!  I have a 3rd grader to test today and then reports to write the rest of the day.  I will see my homebound student after work either in the hospital if she is still there or at her house. 

Prayers for all who need them...there are so many right now.

Hello train!  Yes, it's me up at this barely daylight hour! I have PT at 9am this morning on the other side of Houston. That means I have to be on the frwy no later than 8 and hope most of the work traffic has passed.

What's tempting me? Cancelling PT and going back to bed!!! This nightowl isn't used to functioning this early in the AM!!!

Good morning All!!  I'm up and packing stuff to head into the office.  Trying to get back into the routine of going in once a week.  Still have to pack lunches for me and Jeff and down my protein shake.  I had a good visit with the doc yesterday, got to hear the baby's heartbeat and it sounded great.  I did find out that I'll be induced around 38 weeks due to the genetic disorder I have, so I may actually have this kid before you all head off on the cruise.  I don't recall if I mentioned it here, but I also talked to her about my copper levels.  Last month they came back high, 213 (range is 70-155).  Since I'm not supplementing any copper we're not sure why, she's called an endocrinologist and I've called my RNY surgeon and PCP to see if we can figure out what's going on with that.

Jeff is much less stressed than he was a few days ago and is back to playing WoW.  He'd actually stopped gaming at all at the end of the semester because he had so much to do.  I think I'll let him enjoy that for a few days, then start on the projects here at the new place again.

Please say some prayers for my brother and SIL.  They are pregnant with twins and they just got some tests back that show "soft markers" for Downs syndrome on one of the babies.  They won't know more for a few weeks and I can only imagine how stressed they are going to be until the next appointment.

Oh, I almost forgot - What is tempting me today?  Carbs, carbs and more carbs.  This has been the bane of my existence for a couple of months now.  I'm trying hard to eat something protein when the urge hits, but to be honest I have not set myself up for success with my grocery shopping.  Luckily this weekend I can restock and refill the house with much higher protein stuff, so hopefully I'll be able to change the trend soon.

Hey You Guys!

I finally made it to my office today. I had to pick up some test protocols from one campus and take them to a different campus and drop them off with some teachers.
They are doing career day here at school, so all my darlings are scattered around the building (inside and out). We have Careflite, police, fire, doctors etc...it looks pretty cool. I have 13.5 more working days of this school year. Not that I'm counting! lol
We rode last night. Chico is so funny. He was on hold from working while he was being fed back up. Now that he is sound again and we are riding him he is truly in his element. Last night when I put his bit in he started high stepping in place. Then when he got to the arena his ears perked up and stayed there. During cool down you try to walk at a slower pace to bring their heart and breathing levels back down, like we'd do after exercise. He was so geared up that I never could get him to do anything slower than a trot. During any of it if I'd kicked and reined him toward a barrel or pole he'd have gone through the patterns by himself. His whole body language just said- "I'm HOME!"

Just got back from the Gastroenterologist a bit ago. Still just not quite right since the incident a couple weeks ago. He will do an EGD next Tuesday. Funny, my brother is also having one on Tuesday and I will be the case after him! LOL Doc thought that was funny. He said I may have a possible stricture on the lower end where the RNY was all tied back together, but he could dilate any problems he might encounter.

I AM resisting the freaking homemade Sticky Buns that are sitting directly across from my desk on the conference table! Glad  I have dual monitors to block them from view! I ate a piece of LF Colby Jack cheese instead! Whoop!

Not much else going on! Glad Don made it to Georgia safely into the arms of his sweetie pie! Prayers and hugz for all those in need! Oh, not much to update on Baby JJ other than he finished his 6th round of Chemo last week. I know they are waiting on MRI results to see if there is any shrinkage of the remaining tumors. they are busy getting ready for the Benefit Golf Tourney on May 22nd. Got several Corporate Sponsors for it, so they are hoping for a good turnout. Remember to tell any golfers in the DFW area that you know, they could sure use all the help they can get!
