Good afternoon all.  A little muggy these days, but it's Texas.

Geraldine will be getting out either today or tomorrow.  She is doing a little better.

Not much else going on.

Just a reminder, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Prayer requests are listed below:

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT: Pray not just for employment, but also that they adjust to the stress the lack of employment brings.

MariPW
Nina - daughter looking for a third job to make ends meet

Vivian asks for Jonathan - Looking for full time work
Sarah448 asks for her son

Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:

Recovering from Surgery:

Other prayer requests:

Cajungirl (Dana) requests prayer for her family for guidance, peace and understanding during a current family situation.  Also, her sister will be undergoing surgery because her Titanium plate broke.

George - Coworker, Geraldine, had the sleeve on 5/4.  She may be getting out the hospital Friday.  Still feeling bad about having the surgery done, but is coming around.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house in San Antonio.  They are in the process of changing real estate agents, hopefully this will help the house move.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his kids.  Parental rights to the children were lost.  He may get custody of the girl, which would open the door to  him getting the boys.  The decision is under appeal.

Kat (Iwannabethinnow) requests prayer for her friend with breast cancer.

Kris M. asks for prayer for Charlene and her family during this difficult time.

MariPW also asks for prayer for her pending move back to Texas in May.

Michelle S. - Michelle's mother has been diagnosed with cancer, is getting radiation and will soon be making a decision about chemotherapy.  Also continue praying for her family's various other health issues.

Nina - Pray for cousin, that he be guided in the right direction with his marraige.

Tennysonkw (Kim T.) asks for prayers for Carrie (ccagle). She has a brain tumor that they are going to have to remove.  She is also having blurred vision.  They are running tests, but think that it is due to vitamin deficiency.  The day that she found out about the brain tumor, her husband lost his jobs

Vivian - Niece, Tressa is a severe diabetic.  Now has kidney failure also.   Another niece, Kim, is trying to decide which WLS to have.    She needs prayers also that she will make the right decision for herself that she will loose the much needed weight so she will be free from her diabetes ( doesn't run in her family ).

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hey George.  I am sitting here trying to stay awake.  I drank an energy drink, and I am still tired.  That leads me to believe maybe my vitamin levels are off.  I have got to do a better job with them.  This week has been hard, but I have made sure to take my MV every day.  If I take baby steps, I am hoping to get back into taking all my vitamins on a regular basis.

Take care.

Glad to see you posting about good news about Geraldine !!  thats wonderful..   Now all we can do is cheer her on and as usual - be there for her when she needs us......if not before...

Not much here on the agenda for me either..just working as I do best during the weeks....lol
I STILL LOVE MY JOBS !!

Had to work a little later than usual last night - so I'm feeling a little drousy today.....One of our clients was on disaster  and we were their recovery  "plan".........so I got to proof some bank tellers' work last night......haven't had to do that since the last snow/ice mishap here in TX when no one decided to come to work..........

Anyway - not much else going on in my world.....just the usual......

I was offered an opportunity to move to another position in my full time job.  It could mean a small pay increase.  They guaranteed me the same schedule I currently work.  Talked to a few folks that  moved to that department.  They said it is a fairly easy job, but if they were me, they would stay where I am.  They said I have it made on my shift.  So, I turned it down.

Man, since my labs tanked I'm trying to fit 2 doses of calcium and iron and mutli-vit all in one day and it's kicking my butt.... I need to find my rut (routine) and stick with it...

Glad to hear Geraldine is doing better....

Oops I must of missed your lab results Karen....I'm patiently (not) waiting for the rest of mine but had to add in some iron for the ferritin taking.  I feel your pain.

Hi George!  Thanks for keeping my family on the prayer request.  I'd like to add another request, please.  My sister that had a tumor removed from her jaw last June is going to require an additional surgery scheduled for June 3.  The titanium plate BROKE, the docs are puzzled they have never seen or heard of this happening before.  She's really bummed as the surgery is difficult and she is just now feeling pretty good from the last one.  It isn't as comprehensive as last time so we are hoping the recovery goes better.

Just a reminder on vitamins, I had my labs drawn and what's been received so far (some had to be sent out) is that my ferritin is not so good......dang I hate iron but know it's important so I'll have to suck it up and add it back in.  I know the consequences but can be stubborn sometimes.

Howdy George....
Finally got all the "mommy" stuff done so hopefully going to start the "unwind" process and then off to bed!

Went to the girls' awards program.  It was very nice.  Heather got two academic awards, one in HST II (nursing class) and one in Math.   Viktoria didn't get academic recognition, but, actually earned one of the "high honors".  She was recognized for Leadership qualities.  The asst. principal described them all as "kids who get things done here at the school".  Yippee!!!  Soooo, now gotta find new document frames!  I am falling asleep so I'd best finish up and then hit the hay!
