WOOOOHOOOO for Wednesday and being half way to the weekend! Man, the weather just won't let up on tornado alley. Thankfully, the national weather map should us on the edge of it all, now if it will just stay within the lines, LOL
Prayers are going up for all that need them, with special ones for Sharyn, Janet and Emily on the loss of Sharyn's mother....
Edwin Starr's WAR is on the turntable....
War...huh...yeah
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh ha haa ha

What is it good for?
Absolutley nothing...say it again y'all
War..huh...look out...
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing...listen to me ohhhhh
WAR! I despise,
'cos it means destruction of innocent lives,
War means tears to thousands of mother's eyes,
When their sons gone to fight and lose their lives.
I said WAR!...huh...good God y'all,
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing...say it again
War! Huh...What is it good for (Edwin sings 'Wohh oh Lord' over the top)
Absolutely nothing...listen to me
WAR! It ain't nothing but a heartbreaker,
War. Friend only to the undertaker.
Ohhh! War is an enemy to all mankind,
The thought of war blows my mind.
War has caused unrest within the younger generation
Induction then destruction...who wants to die? Ohhh
WAR! good God y'all huh
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing...say it say it SAY IT!
WAR!...uh huh yeah hu!
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing...listen to me
WAR! It ain't nothing but a heartbreaker,
War! It's got one friend that's the undertaker.
Ohhhh! War has shattered many a young man's dream,
Made him disabled, bitter and mean,
Life is much too short and precious to spend fighting wars these days.
War can't give life, it can only take it away!
Ohhh WAR! huh...good God y'all
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing...say it again
War!...huh...woh oh oh Lord
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing...listen to me
War! It ain't nothing but a heartbreaker,
War. Friend only to the undertaker...woo
Peace lovin' understand then tell me,
Is there no place for them today?
They say we must fight to keep our freedom,
But Lord knows there's got to be a better way.

Prayers going up for everyone that needs them!

I am about to go grab some kiddos for testing. I have so much to do and not nearly enough time to get it all done. I have about 15 or so folders on my desk begging for attention.
Yesterday I got Kayee from school, mailed the drivers ed form for Addison, stopped by the house to give the renters more parts for the potty, went by the bank and then went home and tried to get the horse to the vet.
We got the truck hooked up to the horse trailer just fine. Bailey caught Chico and brought him up to the front pasture so we could load him He decided that no way was he going into the trailer. For about an hour we tried everything we could think of to coax this horse into loading. Finally I guess he got tired of messing with us and hopped right in. I took him to the vet, unloaded him, they took blood and told me to reload him. I was hesitatnt so the tech said he'd help me. Of coarse Chico loaded up just fine. lol When we got home I park the trailer back in the front pature, and we did loading/unloading drills. I had to think about Loralea and her seat belt brigade with the kids. He loads and unloads just fine now. The coggina papers will be back Friday so we will be set to let the kids rodeo on him Saturday.
Just as everything was settling down, Dirk got a call about a boat. We drove out to the other side of Benbrook to look at it. It wasn't a bad boat, but it had a few dings here and there. It was a little more used than what we are wanting. The boat search continues....sigh
Prayers for Janet and family, John and his mom, Michelle and her mom, Annette as she recieves news about her eyes, and a host of others who have needs...YOU know who you are!
Love you!
Tracey

He is traveling along on I-20 almost to Mississippi and doing good on time...estimated ETA in Atlanta is 11:15pm. Then lo and behold he does swerve to avoid hitting some road debris, but didn't quite swerve enough, and guess what happened...yep, you guessed it...flat tire on driver side front tire. Well $108 and an hour later, he is finally on the road again with a brand new tire. Needless to say, he is going to be one tired puppy when he gets here. I only hope that there are no more catastrophe's along the rest of the way here. Basically his trip is real easy on traffic directions...go to Tyler, get on I-20...stay on this highway through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia...when you get to 285 (outside of Atlanta), go north...then to GA 400, then to my exit, etc. Needless to say, he is going to be sick of I-20 by the time he gets here. It is 763 miles from his house to mine, and all but 100 +/- miles is on I-20!!!
Now, I am at home doing my Suzy homemaker routine of getting the house ready for him...laundry, cleaning, etc.
Gina L, I will make sure he gives me that Central Texas hug, okay??
Talk to y'all later...
ETA: Oh, Liz...guess what I am making for him at least by this Saturday....yep, you guessed it....your infamous fabulous Pecan Pie.
