Thoughtful Thursday WLS Express
Good morning folks! Been MIA for a few days, but I'm back and doing well! Folks in my neck of the woods have been very thoughtful this week! My co-worker Janet not only drove me to the ER Tuesday, but she sat there with me and then brought me back to my car, even offerend to follow me home! Bill came home from his Austin trip yesterday and washed and dried all his dirty clothes! Since I felt like CaCa most of the week, the only thoughtful thing i did was buy my Mom some cigars on the way home! LOL She smokes those little black N mild cigars and the guys at the store just crack up at the thought of her smoking those!
I have an appt. for next Thursday with a Gastroenerologist. My pouch still feels irritated and I am having heartburn more and more! Plus, it still feels like it's taking longer for food and liquids to go in. Just gonna let him have a look see in case there is a stricture or an ulcer.
Prayers going up for all those in need!!!
hugz,
Gina L

"Livin' Large, But Not Morbidly Obese!"
Good morning All! Logging in from the office today. I've got to get up a tad bit earlier next week so I don't feel like a crazy person running around getting ready. It wasn't too bad though, and it took me exactly 30 min to get here. So all in all I think it will be fine for now.
I would say the thoughtful thing that happened to me this week was that I got to spend the weekend with my family. I'm so glad they invited us down to see them while they are in the state. As for me being thoughtful, right now an ongoing thing is that I haven't asked Jeff to start helping out with chores around the house just yet. I know he's totally stressed about finishing the semester so I've chosen to just take care of all the housework through next week so he doesn't have to stress about anything else.
Today should be a good day, I'm meeting a friend from church that works here at HP for lunch, have some meetings this afternoon and then will stop at Sam's on the way home to finish up the grocery shopping. I worked on organizing our office closet yesterday, now I have more room to unpack some boxes and sort through some more stuff. I'd really like to move a shelf into the office, but probably should wait and let Jeff do that. Sigh, patience is a virtue...
Ok, off to earn my keep around here. Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

I have to give Beast all the crdit for thoughtfulness this week. He's been so very supportive this whole journey but not always the most thankful...man thing I guess! But for the last few weeks he's really been extra special. I'm having trouble with my right hip, a combination of arthritis and a pulled muscle. The last few days it's gotten painful just to walk. Yesterday was grocery day, he tried to get me to use one of those motorized buggies but I refuse to ride those things again! I made it through the first isle before I started limping. So he made me sit in the deli section while he took my grocery list and finished the shopping. Bless his heart, every time he came across something he wasn't sure about he'd bring me 2-3 choices of the item so I could tell him which one. Remember this was MY grocery list so it was very generic. His lists are always very explicit! After we got home he unloaded AND put everything away.
With this oil spill going on in the Gulf I've volunteered to help Dr. Hoffmayer and the Gulf Research Institute with any help they need for the cleanup. I first met this group when I helped them tag whale sharks around Utila in the Bay Islands. This spill could be devastating for pelagic filter feeders, such as Whale Sharks and Manta Rays, not to mention all the shore birds that are nesting right now, sea and march turtles, etc....it's going to be really bad. I'll be happy if all I can do is wash seagulls with Dawn soap!

Went and ordered my mother's Mom's day goodies. Older brother is cooking lunch Sunday. He can cook! Likes to eat too and has the "done lop", as in his stomach "done lopped over his belt", to prove it! Trying to guide him toward a Sleeve. Otherwise I'm being a good "redneck", literally, doing yard work today.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
