Anyone had a revision done with Dr. Barker in Dallas?

I originally had surgery back in 2004. I lost 117 pounds and maintained that weight loss until 2008. Today, I am only about 40 pounds from my initial starting weight. I am scared. I went and had an apoointment with Dr. Barker in Dallas to talk to him about a revision. He said that he might be able to help me. He said that my initial surgeon may not have made my pouch as small as it should have been and he is working on getting my records to conform that.

Has anyone used him for a revision? What was your experience? So far, he and his staff seem very helpful but I just wanted some other opinions.

 I know that Stephanie G. did.   She had a revision from lap band to RNY.   She was extremely successful with her RNY.   You might PM her about it and Dr. Barker.

 Yes Stephanie had a revision in 2007, i had mine 3days before. I had my stomach stapled in 1987 and had a revision to RNY July 27, 2007 and have lost 174lbs, i have gained back 15-20kbs since going back to nights late last yr. But my husband and I had our surgeries together and he has lost 185 lbs, He is also happy with Dr b\Barker and we would both use him again.

So glad to see your beautiful face around here!!! Hubby and I both used Dr. B and would do it all over again. I have gained 17 pounds from my lowest weight after surgery, but I only weigh about 6 pounds over what my average weight was, so I am happy.

I am having my revision surgery (Lap-band to RNY)  with Dr Barker tomorrow. I will let you know how it all goes. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with Dr Barker and his staff. .

Hi-Stephanie G here...Yes, I had a revision from lapband to RNY with Dr Barker at Doctor's hospital in July of 2007.  I reached goal in about 8 -10 months and had plastics at 15 months out.  Today, nearly 3 years later, I'm within ONE pound of my lowest weight.  Dr B is a great surgeon BUT if you don't do the work, you won't be successful long term.  I have changed my lifestyle dramatically and still play by the rules most of the time.  I do eat junk on occasion but in very small quantities.  So if you're willing to do the work, I say go for it cuz he is an awesome surgeon with a very low complication rate.
