I know this is off topic; but I would love to hear any input if you can.
My husband has a cousin that is in the Navy and has been sent back over seas.
I know that there are several of you on here that are parents, grandparents and or friends with people that have been deployed. So that is why I come here for questions.
I would like to send her a care package; but other than baby wipes, chap stick & beef jerky that is about all that has been suggested to me. So I ask of you is there anything that your loved one ask for in particular anything that just stood out. I would really like to make it special for her. Also I would like to put some smaller packs in hers that she may would like to share with those that may not be getting anything.
Thanks in advance for any ideals.

Oh by the way I'm almost at my 1 year mark (May 27th) and down 105lbs which is about 5lbs from my goal. WooHoo I will post more on that later...

Cindy, Danni is you go-to person for answers.  Her husband is deployed and she sends care packages to him and his buddies all the time.  (BTW-congrats on your WLS success!!).

Danni is definitely the one to ask about this.  She's an expert!

I sent 2 boxes to Danni's husband to pass on to some of the single guys in his unit....  I put in paperback books, puzzle mags, corn nuts, peanuts, and silly little hand held games and toys.... I went to Dollar Tree and got loads of stuff.... It cost me more to ship the stuff than I spent on it.... LOL
